On the afternoon of May 10th ,the Youth League branch 1814 held their League activity in Class 8411,whose theme was “Look back on the former rugged centenary history,and inherit the tradition of the May 4th Movement”. In this activity,the League branch secretary led all the members to study and inherit the spirit of the May 4th Movement through volunteer service and meaningful games, in order to help League branch members understanding the spirit deeply and passing on to it consciously. Furthermore,through this activity,members were determined to be “new teens”and make a difference in this good era.
Inherit the spirit of the May 4th Movement,take part in the construction of our future
Before the activity, some of League branch members held a charity sale in front of the library and on the Bo Ya square on May 9th. They donated the income of charity sale to some high school students in poverty-stricken area through the club of Sheng Bing. Members echoed the appeal of “Three types of walking out”,going out of classroom, introducing the activity towards passers-by and conducting the charity sale. In the process of charity sale, they even recorded a video of some customers, which was about some encouraging words to inspire those poor high school students. “As the college entrance examination is around the corner,hope those students being more diligent and hardworking so as to rewrite their destinies and be contributors to the construction and development of our country and their own hometowns,through their struggle.”One of customers said.

On the afternoon of May 10th ,League branch members were asked to assemble in the Class 8411 to study the spirit of the May 4th Movement,which was organized by League branch secretary Wang Jingwen. In the first part,through a dubbing game,in which some students dubbed for a movie clip from The Founding of A Party,students felt the revolutionary spirit from these martyrs. In the next part, each students extracted a paper where names of some related martyrs had been written down, and then they shared their thoughts towards the whole Youth League branch. For instance,students Zhang Yun shared his opinion about Liu Renjing,one of representatives who attended the first conference of the Communist Party. He said,”Liu Renjing was only 19-year-old when he attended the conference. And it occurs to me that if I were him at the same age,what can I do for my country--we must firm our ideals and convictions,forge our characters and morals,finally make contributions to our country.”
Made comments on state affairs/And wrote agitating words
Combining with their major features,Youth League branch 1814 designed a game titled “Megaphone”. With some little stories about the May 4th Movement,students needed to convey the story to the next one,using the Chinese-Spanish bilingual form,and then a student spoke out the translated story towards the whole class. Through these stories,members understood the spirit of the May 4th Movement well and their recognition to our revolutionary martyrs would be deepened. A student,named Dong Peiran,said,”We are now looking up to those heroes before 100 years,and will we also be admired by our descendants after 100 years? This is a question,so while we learn the spirit,we should value and seize opportunities at present,and then shoulder historical missions and duties.”
