In the evening of August 16, the launching ceremony of the college of chemistry class of 2022 undergraduate students' voyage was successfully held in the form of online Tencent meeting. This kick-off event was sponsored by the Committee of Chemistry College of the Communist Youth League of CCNU and organized by the Academic and Scientific Research Department of the Student Union of Chemistry College of CCNU. It aimed to deepen the understanding of the new students to the school and college, enhance their sense of belonging and identity to the college as well as their knowledge of their majors, and promote the new students of the Class of 2022 to adapt to the college life more quickly and better. The ceremony was attended by Xiao Wenjing, Dean of the College of Chemistry, Xu Fen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Yuan Hong, Vice Dean of the College, Ma Ying, 2022 counselor, Yao Qini, part-time 2022 counselor, Li Jia, Ye Fei, She Nengfang, Zhang Dan, Wang Jinlong, 2022 class teachers, and 294 undergraduate students and parents of the College of Chemistry, 2022 class.
At the beginning of the meeting, Ma Ying welcomed all the leaders, freshmen and parents to this event, and briefly introduced the purpose of this event and the series of activities of the College of Chemistry 2022 undergraduate students.
After that, Xiao Wenjing gave a brief introduction to the basic situation of the School of Chemistry. He showed the spirit of the School of Chemistry to the new students from the development history, discipline settings, faculty strength, employment prospect and the main awards of the faculty. After the introduction, Xiao Wenjing sent a message to the new students: "Youth is the right time, set sail again. I hope students can cultivate their moral character, seek knowledge diligently, put themselves into practice and learn to get along in college life."
Immediately afterwards, five class teachers of Class of 2022 who attended this launching ceremony: Li Jia, Ye Fei, She Nengfang, Zhang Dan and Wang Jinlong introduced themselves in turn from their teaching experience and main teaching subjects, and expressed their warm welcome to the new students of Class of 2022.
The third agenda item of the meeting was a brief explanation and introduction of the talent training program for undergraduate students in the College of Chemistry by Yuan Hong. The talent training program is the guidance and direction for students' growth in the four years of college. Hong Yuan explained the human training to the students from the aspects of major classification, training objectives and future development and employment direction, major diversion and major characteristics, special classes and their mobility mechanism and main curriculum system, so that the students have a preliminary understanding of the four years of college study. "You are not just here to study chemistry, you are here to go to college!" This is a quote from Hong Yuan to all the undergraduate students in the class of 2022.
Immediately afterwards, Fen Xu gave a brief introduction to the student work team of the College of Chemistry. The student work team is responsible for the promotion and completion of these tasks, which are the needs of students in the areas of thought, life, psychology, housing and transportation, and financial support. The work philosophy of the student work team of the College of Chemistry is "to serve teachers and students, to build moral and cultivate the first heart". The student work team has been promoting the establishment or holding of the Chemistry Week, the "Good Clean Room", the "Road to Mastery" skill competition for teacher training students, and the "Peer Guidance" program based on the three plans of "Perfecting the System and Strengthening the Foundation, Shaping the Brand and Building the Dream". The "Peer Guidance" program and the "Craftsmanship" workshop of Red Pomegranate counselors are a series of brand activities and teaching activities. Xu Fen also sent a message to the undergraduate students of Class 2022: "We use 'craftsmanship', forge 'craftsmanship soul', and cultivate 'first heart' in the hope of cultivating new people who can take up the responsibility of national rejuvenation. We hope that students can grow up to be outstanding talents who can live up to the country and the Party."
The final item on the agenda of the kick-off ceremony was a brief self-introduction and meet-and-greet ceremony with Class of 2022 counselor Ma Ying and part-time counselor Yao Yini. In addition to introducing her general work, Eni Yao reminded students to pay attention to protection and protect themselves regarding the current epidemic prevention and control situation. Ma Ying, on the other hand, said that students can contact her to answer questions about any aspects of enrollment planning or study and life, and she also hoped that they would not only come to school, but also to experience the process of growth.
