The Voice of CCNU On the evening of November 13, the 19th Winter Warming Activity of the College of Chemistry was successfully held in Classroom 9501 and H101. The purpose of this winter warming activity is to continue the college's tradition of peer support. Senior students will raise funds to present cold-proof materials and learning materials to freshmen, give winter blessings and convey winter warmth. This activity was hosted by the Committee of the College of Chemistry of Central China Normal University of the Communist Youth League and undertaken by the general branch of the 2021 level league of the College of Chemistry and was held for all undergraduate students of Grade 2022 of the College of Chemistry.
The activity was prepared nearly a month in advance to raise love funds, various books, and materials from all students of 2020 and 2021. According to the needs of students of Grade 2022, all the money raised was used to buy quilts, blankets, insulation cups, gloves, hats, scarves, and other cold-proof items. All students of Grade 2021 also passed on their wishes to the students of Grade 2022 by designing special postcards.
At the beginning of the activity, the organizer gave a brief introduction to students of Grade 2022 about the material preparation and informed them about the distribution form and location of various materials. Later, each student of Grade 2022 will be given a postcard. Then, according to the material needs collected in the early stage, the quilts, blankets, insulation cups, gloves, hats, scarves, and other materials will be distributed to the corresponding students. At the same time, students of Grade 2022 received books donated by seniors.
So far, the 19th Winter Warming Activity of the College of Chemistry has been successfully concluded. This activity is a continuation of the fine tradition of the College of Chemistry, and it is also the love and warmth that each senior student conveys to the junior students. Xiong Shijie, head of Organization Department of Youth League Branch, said: "When I participated in this activity, I always remembered the joy of getting letters from senior students last year. When I was writing postcards and giving gifts to students, I hoped that they could also feel the warmth of winter." Zhang Ding, a 2022 student, said: "In recent days, the temperature has gradually cooled down, and the materials presented by senior students are very practical. From the postcards I received, I have also received good messages from senior fellow students."
