On the morning of March 8th, the School of Politics and International Studies held a Head Teachers‘ Work Experience exchanging meeting in conference room 313. Pan Guangwei, the deputy secretary of the Party committee of the college , Chen Fei, the winner of the first "Top Ten Head Teachers" of the school , Qian Daogeng, the first-prize winner of "Head Teachers' Educational Story", all undergraduate head teachers and undergraduate counselors attended the meeting. Wei Lu reported the overall situation of student work in 2022, explained the work regulations and guidelines of school and college head teachers, and informed the employment progress of 2023 undergraduate graduates.

Qian Daogeng, the first-prize winner of the "Head Teacher's Educational Story", shared his work experience from three aspects. He believed that, in the process of communicating with students, head teachers should be committed to establishing equal communication relationship without gaps, taking initiative to communicate with students, to be both a teacher and a friend and try to learn from students. Teachers should carry forward the spirit of "coming with a heart in hands, living without half a blade of grass", so that students could have expectations, motivation and hope.

Chen Fei, the winner of the first "Top Ten Head Teachers" of the school, as "head" of the 2018 class of politics and international studies, actively cooperated with the counselor during his tenure and promoted students' understanding of professional knowledge by holding targeted reading clubs. Chen said that head teachers must adhere to the "student-orientation" in their work and constantly do the work in detail, so that students would feel warm in details.

Eight head teachers briefly reported their work in 2022 as well as 2023 work plans, and put forward suggestions on organizing class league building activities, enhancing major attraction, paying attention to mental health, making career planning and promoting students' employment. They said that they would actively collect students' questions and give corresponding help in time to improve the understanding of students and enhance class cohesion. The political work team should grow up with the students, exchange sincere hearts for other sincere hearts, and develop education with full of warmth and feelings.

Secretary Pan made a concluding speech. First of all, he thanked everyone for their hard work in the past year. The remarkable achievements of the school's student work cannot be achieved without their joint efforts. Secondly, as for how to do a good job as a head teacher, he talked about his own experience and suggestions. First, understand the work situation, understand the characteristics of the post-00 students, understand the characteristics of students of the institute, understand current challenges in our work. The second one was to clarify the job responsibilities and the primary orientation of head teachers is being ideological and political workers. In a word, it meant that they should do a good job on the students' life guidance, education and vocational guidance; Third, it was necessary to clear the work orientation, make educating people as the work orientation, set the number of students cultivated by teachers as the standard to measure the quality of work. The last one was to establish a work brand, head teachers were professional teachers, they had to make concise work characteristics and build a work brand according to their own research field.
