At noon on April 28, the College Union held a young faculty meeting in conference room 9551. Zhang Mingsheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Professor Wu Shaoping and Yu Yunwei, Vice Presidents, Professor Tang Yiwen, President of the Union of the college, and 29 young faculty members under 40 attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Professor Zhu Zhihong, Youth Committee of the College Trade Union.
The meeting first carried out the mobilization of young teachers teaching competition. Wu Shaoping introduced the advanced deeds of Professor Liu Lianshou, the famous teaching teacher of the old generation of the college, in teaching work, such as conscientiously carrying out undergraduate teaching, building teaching teams, supporting young teachers and so on. He encouraged the young teaching staff to learn from the old generation of physicists and actively and earnestly put into the front-line teaching work.
The young faculty members at the meeting exchanged their daily teaching and life problems, and made positive suggestions for the development of the college. The teachers discussed fund project application, teaching resource sharing, improvement of transitional housing conditions for young faculty and staff, postdoc entry efficiency, children enrollment and care policy, professional title evaluation and employment conditions, medical reimbursement in school hospital, reducing the burden of young faculty and staff and other aspects. Yu Yunwei answered the questions raised by the teachers, hoping that the teachers should strengthen confidence in academic research, have the spirit of struggle, adhere to the direction of self-development, strengthen academic exchanges, and the college will support the development of young teachers in terms of scientific research conditions.
Finally, Zhang Mingsheng summarized the meeting. He pointed out that young teachers are the hope of the college and the new force on the teaching and research front of the college. The College will carefully sort out and respond to your comments and suggestions, and serve young staff well. The College will build a platform and organize more activities for young staff. At the same time, he hoped that the young faculty members should strengthen the consciousness of moral cultivation, constantly strengthen the construction of teachers' ethics and style, and make more contributions to the development of the college.
