At 19:00 on the evening of October 22, the Class 2023 undergraduate students of the School of Chemistry held a psychological lecture on the theme of "How to adapt to the new life" in Room 9501. The lecture invited Ms. Mou Yunjing from the Center for Mental Health and Education of College Students of Central China Normal University as the keynote speaker and was presided over by Ms. Li Jiawei, a 2023 counselor from the College of Chemistry. This lecture aims to guide students to adapt to their new life at university while raising awareness of mental health issues.

At the beginning of the lecture, Ms. Mou introduced some common psychological phenomena of college students and aroused the enthusiasm of students in the form of group discussions. Then, he introduced how to actively face some negative psychology in college life from four aspects, including psychological adaptation, study and career planning, interpersonal communication, and self-growth. Ms. Mou used humorous language in telling examples and putting forward practical suggestions in order to encourage students to accept themselves actively. Finally, Ms. Mou said, "I hope all students can enjoy a healthy and happy college life and also have a beautiful and beautiful life."

At the end of the lecture, instructor Ms. Li Jiawei summed up and she said: “We should confront mental health issues, learn how to seek for help, self-help and mutual help, and face the difficulties in both academics and life with a positive and optimistic attitude.”
Hereto, the 2023 undergraduate psychology lecture on "How to Adapt to the New Life" of the School of Chemistry ended successfully. And students have had a clear acknowledgment and their own understanding of campus life. Wang Yue, an undergraduate student of Grade 2023, said, "After listening to Ms. Mou's psychological lecture, I was deeply touched. Many practical suggestions put forward by Ms. Mou gave me a better understanding of myself and have a clearer plan for my life which helped me to adjust from the confusion of not adapting to college life at the beginning and benefited me a lot." Liang Zhengzhong who is also a 2023 undergraduate, said, "I no longer have fear and anxiety about interpersonal communication after listening to Ms. Mou's lecture, hence I can actively face my new life."
