Home Visits in Chinese New Year Warmed People's Hearts and Worked Together to Withstand the Cold Wave

The Voice of CCNU In order to practice warm education, implement school student funding and the requirements of the "Six Ones" work, and further strengthen student training, college leaders and teachers actively signed up to participate in the 2024 winter vacation "100 Teachers Visiting 100 Families" home visit activity, visiting and comforting students' families, building a bridge of communication between families, forming a cooperative bond between teachers and parents, continuously improving the relationship between families and schools, and gathering educational forces.

On January 28th, Yao Ke, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, led counselors Xu Chenyang and Ni Chenxin to visit the homes of two students in Wuhan for the Chinese New Year. During the home visit, Yao Ke sent New Year greetings to the student's family, inquired about their financial situation, examined their growth environment, provided detailed explanations to parents about the school's relevant assistance policies, and encouraged them to study and live. At the end of the home visit, Yao Ke transferred the school's condolence money to the students.

Xu Chenyang and Wang Yating's parents exchanged information on their students' academic and living conditions at school, and provided analysis and suggestions on their educational internship arrangements and future career development in the second half of the year. The students and their parents are very grateful for the care of the college leaders and teachers. The parents of the students expressed that they have been inspired and will work together with the college to cultivate their children in the future.

Ni Chenxin communicated with her parents about Zhu Changzhou's performance and learning status in school. Zhu Changzhou's parents expressed their gratitude to the leaders and teachers of the college for their visit. They introduced the situation at home and the daily life of the students, and discussed their development plans with the teachers.

On February 20th, Zhao Yao, a 2020 level counselor, drove a hundred kilometers to Zhijiang City, Hubei Province. Visit the families of three students, including Xue Qinyao, Yang Xianchuang, and Hu Yi, in their respective grades. Send New Year greetings to student families, talk about daily life with students and parents, understand the situation of student labor education practice at home, inquire about job seeking and employment intentions, and guide students' academic and career development together with parents. Over the past four years, Zhao Yao has visited nearly 20 student families during winter and summer vacations, focusing on building a bridge between family and school, and working together to promote the comprehensive development of students, allowing the warmth of education to permeate every corner of their growth.

On January 25th, 2021 counselor Xu Chenyang went to Tongliang District and Hechuan District in Chongqing to carry out home visit activities.

Xu Chenyang first arrived at He Huan's home on Yingbin East Road in Tongliang District. He Huan's grandmother mentioned that her child is very filial at home, often helps with work, and has a good relationship with her younger brother. After caring for He Huan's family, Xu Chenyang provided feedback on He Huan's performance in school to his family, hoping to see the students further improve in their future studies and life.

Next, Xu Chenyang came to Qin Fei's home located in Hechuan District. Qin Fei's parents were very enthusiastic and welcomed Xu Chenyang's arrival. Xu Chenyang saw in his conversation with Qin Fei's parents the dedication and love they put into their children's growth. I also see the cuter side of students in front of their mothers. Xu Chenyang had discussions with parents and students regarding the future internships and employment of students, and answered their questions. Students are also encouraged to pay more attention to improving their skills as teacher trainees in the future, participate in more competitions and projects to continuously enhance their competitiveness, and prepare early for future employment.

On February 15th, 2022, counselor Yu Xuan went to Wangjiawan, Qingquan Town, Xishui County to conduct a home visit and offer New Year condolences to Yan Lang's family in Class 2207. She explained policies and answered questions to parents face-to-face regarding personal development and progress, employment career planning, and professional development prospects.

From February 13th to 14th, the homeroom teacher of Class 2107, Qi Chao, went to Yibin City, Sichuan Province to conduct home visits and send New Year greetings to the families of students. Qi Chao and Man Yan's father introduced Man Yan's learning situation and discussed Man Yan's personal development ideas. Man Yan's father provided a comprehensive introduction to his family situation. Due to his limited opportunities to communicate with Man Yan while working outside, he also understood some of Man Yan's thoughts and choices. Qi Chao suggested that Man Yan's father should strengthen communication and connection between father and daughter in daily life, not only caring about whether the child is well fed and well dressed, and whether academic performance has improved, but also caring about the child's emotional situation.

It is reported that the college has always adhered to the "frontline work method" and established closer contact with students and parents through various channels, including home visits. Carry out warm home school communication activities to further promote collaborative education between families and schools, and lay a solid foundation for the comprehensive development of students.
