The Voice Of CCNU The meet-and-greet of Grade 2024 undergraduate freshmen’s parents was held in Room N119 of Southern Lake Complex Building on September 2nd with an online conference room opened for those not on site. The conference was chaired by Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Physical Education, Zhang Dehua. Other leaders present at the conference included Party Secretary of the School of Physical Education, Wang Dongshuang, Dean of the School of Physical Education, Hu Qingshan, Associate Dean of the School of Physical Education, Xu Chengli, Guo Baoke, Chen Yuanxin and the undergraduate counselor of Grade 2024 Ding Lihao, and all the parents of undergraduate freshmen attended the conference.
Dean Hu offered congratulations to the parents of freshmen in his address, where he introduced history, discipline, faculty, academic research as well as venues and facilities of the School of Physical Education. In addition, the development and accomplishment of undergraduates was a common aspiration of both sides, he noted, adding that there was a call for home-school-community collaborative education to foster students with light in their eyes, love in their hearts, ideals and devotion in mind.
School leaders present at conference provided answers to Measures for the Implementation of Publicly-Funded Education for Normal Students in Normal Universities Directly under the Ministry of Education, the education and administration of students, mental health education and the minor, which parents of freshmen concerned about.
During the concluding speech, Party Secretary Wang extended a warm welcome to the parents of freshmen. Subsequently, he made an in-depth analysis of “how to form an education rallying force and foster a new generation” regarding teaching, studying and examination atmosphere, stressed school’s administration and also voiced the hope that the two sides could jointly contribute to students’ academic plans and their daily behavior, so as to provide a boost for their development and accomplishment.
