The Voice of CCNU The 27th “Counselor Salon”themed with "Collective Lesson Preparation for the Theme of College Students' Growth" in 2024 was launched in the conference room 407 of the North Building of the Liberal Arts Research Building at 10:00 on the morning of October 27th, which was sponsored by the Student Work Department of the Party Committee and hosted by School of Marxism and "Truth-seeking” Counselor Growth and Development Studio. Zhao Wan, Counselor of School of Economics and Business Administration and Wang Manyu, Counselor of College of Urban and Environmental Sciences respectively addressed a themed sharing. More than 20 graduate and undergraduate full-time and part-time counselors from each school participated in the salon. The salon was presided by Chen Zhi from the Ideological and Political Affairs Office of the Student Work Department of the Party Committee.
Counselor Zhao made a specific explanation of how to prepare for the Theme of College Students' Growth themed How to Make Ideological-Political Theoretical Education Innovative and Elaborate with existing problems-centered and innovative and attentive solutions, centering around which minor things should be the focus when it came to prepare lessons with the theme of value, society, academy and health. Moreover, she urged that counselors should stimulate new vitality with fresh tactics and uphold fundamental principles and break new ground so as to improve traditional “teachers-based” teaching, highlighting evaluation and outcome feedback for new breakthroughs. Besides, attentive education should be internalized in the mind and externalized into practice so as to give full play to school characteristics, career development and integration with various resources and grasp positioning in students’ development with meticulous and concrete efforts.
Subsequent to Counselor Zhao, Counselor Wang shared her experiences of lesson preparation themed Students-Centered Orientation: Discussion on Lesson Preparation for the Theme of College Students' Growth from “why teach” and “what and how to teach”, centering on students, where she further declared that ideas and theoretical education and value orientation should be a high priority of main responsibilities of counselors and gave a summary of the Theme of College Students' Growth as the primary platform of ideas and theoretical education, valid platform of fine academic and cultural conduct and centralized management platform of daily affairs, she also added that curricula should be scheduled from students’ different development stages during the lesson preparation. Meanwhile, she quoted relevant excerpts from President Xi Jinping of “Be accurate, comprehensive, clear, profound, thorough, realistic, and lively”, and advocated coordination and planning, integration between learn and education, flexible classroom forms and abundant resources centering on students to efficiently promote the development of the Theme of College Students' Growth.
At the end of the salon, Chen Zhi concluded that there had been both valuable experiences and problems in the course of teaching since the Theme of College Students' Growth was set up three years ago, he expressed his hope that teachers could closely integrate with students’ realities and seriously organize classroom instruction to further boost career development and work effects.
