On January 3, the awarding ceremony of the 2018 Advanced Collective and Advanced Individual Recognition Conference and the "Principal Award" was held in the first floor lecture hall of the Science Society Hall. School leaders Huang Xiaomei, Zhao Lingyun, Cai Hongsheng, Qin Hong, Peng Nansheng, Xia Lixin, President Assistant Ren Youzhou, the school's functional departments and the main heads of the college attended. In 2018, the winners of Advanced Collective, Advanced Individual Representative and Principal Award attended the award ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Qin Hong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the school.
After singing the national anthem, Vice-President Cai Hongsheng read out "Decision on Recognition of Advanced Collective and Advanced Individual Students in the 2017-2018 School Year" and awarded awards to the award-winning representatives of advanced class collectives and civilized dormitories; Vice-President Xia Lixin and Assistant Principal Ren Youzhou presented awards to the advanced individual representatives of graduate students and undergraduate students respectively; Vice-President Peng Nansheng read "the Decision on Recognition of the 2018 Principal Award (Student)", and Zhao Lingyun, the principal and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, awarded the principal award to the winners. The award-winning student representatives delivered their acceptance speeches in turn.
In her speech, Ye Yuanyuan, an advanced collective representative of the students, said that with the joint efforts of the college, the head teacher and the whole class, the class has formed a style of "innovation and coordinated development". The graduating students will work harder, study harder and make continuous efforts to become the first-class talents in the society.
Liu Qingqi, an advanced personal representative of the students, a doctoral candidate of 2016 from the Psychological College, reviewed his five-year study path in CCNU. The spirit of CCNU and the scientific atmosphere has always inspired him all the time. He gave encouragement to the graduate students of CCNU that they should not forget the original intention of scientific research and fear the hardship of scientific research.
Liu Chuyu, a representative of the 2015 Grade Base Class of the College of History and Culture, made a speech as the winner of the "Principal Award". He introduced his four-year hard work and harvest from three aspects: professional learning, scientific research innovation and social practice. He concluded by quoting Zhang Kaiyuan, "Now that CCNU has a golden opportunity, we must seize this moment to do something really meaningful."
Huang Xiaomei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, said in her speech that in 2018, our school will continuously improve the quality of teaching and enhance the ability of educating people with the goal of "building a high-level university" and by undertaking the fundamental tasks. She offered three wishes to the students of CCNU students. First, to learn from a good model and find the right direction. Never forget to start learning, take the advanced as an example, find out the direction of struggle, learn the method of success from the example. The second is to recognize the situation and encourage people to become talented. We should recognize the developmental trend of the world and China, and the requirements of the national economic and social development for the future, so as to acquire true knowledge and practice real skills. Thirdly, they are determined to go ahead and dare to practice. As a new youth in the new era, students should strive to grow into idealistic, knowledgeable and talented practitioners, become socialist builders and successors in the all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness and beauty, strive to build a well-off society in an all-round way, build up socialist modernization, and realize the great rejuvenation of the China Dream.
In presiding over the conference, Xian Hong pointed out that achievements are not only a recognition of the past, but also a spur to the future. He hoped that all students would keep in mind the wishes and entrustments of the school leaders, face new tasks, opportunities and challenges in the new year and new starting point, show new achievements in the new journey, and write wonderful life with sweat and wisdom.
