According to the Voice of CCNU’s dispatch, on March 19th, the students from Class 1704, School of Journalism and Communication held their Youth League Activity called “Great Warmth in 10 Yuan”in their own dormitories.
Upholding the purpose of “Learning from Lei Feng in March”, the students made an effort to raise people’s awareness of contribution, cooperation and helping others.
For decades, Lei Feng has become a name that several generations bear in mind and “Learning from Lei Feng” has become a signature event of socialist cultural and ethical progress led by the Communist Party of China. As time wears on, the spirit of Lei Feng stands as a lighthouse guiding people forward and warming people’s heart, which turns into spiritual wealth that shines with boundless radiance.
As college students of new era, it is both the right direction and the summons of the times for us to take the lead to learn from Lei Feng.
First of all, Tang Yangwei, the League Secretary spent 5 yuan from class expense on 240 pieces of paper, and then she handed out 10 pieces to each person for creative origami.
There were two sections in the activity, which were making creative origami and sending the origami products to children. In the first section, all members took an active part in it and made various beautiful origami. Apart from some average and ordinary products like the shape of heart and paper crane, Li Qingyu, Commissary in charge of general affairs, chose to make a delicate“whale”. “Since we are asked to make something creative, it is more interesting and meaningful to make something unique and exquisite.”
Then in the second section, Tang Yangwei and Sun Ying organized people to hand out the origami products to kids at different spots within the campus. Children who received origami were all really happy and this activity was also praised by their parents. After all the origami products were handed out, a member called Qu Jingshuang said that it was truly fulfilling and satisfactory to see the children’s big smiles when they received the paper cranes made by himself. And he hoped that there would be more meaningful activities of this kind.
