The Voice Of CCNU On the morning of the Labor Day, 8 volunteers from Shengbing Love Club set off to Yingshan, aiming to make a return visit to the kids funded by united investment this year. What is mentionable is that one of the volunteers was once a beneficiary in 2015, who now joins in this activity as a volunteer. The torch of this club never goes out since 20 years ago, and great love is passed down from age to age in the hands of those members in red.
In a cold morning of the deep spring, the volunteers met at the North Gate at 6:15 with detailed concern and strong hope for communicating with the kids. Everyone was hopeful and nervous, like the feeling of meeting a penfriend but with the snickers of children exploring secrets.
After 4 hours’ jolt, the volunteers met 3 kids in the Leidian High School of Yingshan County, Huanggang City. Brief introduction familiarized them and kids were not reserved any more, besides, they began to talk about the problems faced in their study. “ We all have gone through the college entrance exam”, the volunteers all talked at once, sharing their experience during the high school and giving advice on the kids’ difficulty actively.
The volunteers went to Jiang Bai’s home under the guidance of Zheng Dongxin. Even they could have a chat to refresh themselves, those in red walked with heavy steps because the dirt road was steep and rough. “ Now I think the Despair Slope isn’t despairing at all!” Each volunteer had mixed feelings , for they were concerned with the kids’ way to school and felicitated they could have an access to live in school during such urgent time of study.
The members backtracked the Leidian High School and diverged to Dongzhuangban Village, Town of Yangliu and Baima Road to make home visits after lunch. They asked the material and spiritual conditions of the kids and inquired their improvement opinions on the special issue of the club Heart Light. What’s more, they expressed the hope that the kids could open themselves in the future and communicate with volunteers more so that they would enhance and improve themselves. 8 volunteers gathered at the Yingshan passenger station and returned to Wuchang at 5:30 p.m.
“You just need to run and run, hearing the sound of wind roaring, until it is very far. And you’ll find everything that ever made you upset becomes smaller and smaller when you stop to look back.” The volunteers inspire kids, meanwhile, the also inspire themselves. Everything changes quickly, but the great love goes with loads forever. Sticking what you do, going forward and making efforts for great love, that’s what Shengbing Love Club always works for.
