On the morning of Sept. 16, the second parade inspection of military training for freshmen of Grade 2019 in Central China normal University was successfully held at Youming Stadium. The purpose of this exercise was to encourage students to maintain the achievements of military training, carry forward the excellent quality of the training and test the results of it in the past week. The freshmen of School of Mathematics and Statistics (hereinafter referred to as SMS) showed the demeanor of the youth in CCNU with a vigorous spiritual outlook and uniform movements.
The exercise implemented the judge scoring system and the judges were six company captains, with the main content being the movement for marching. After the first parade inspection, another week of training had passed, and the freshmen of SMS corrected the shortcomings last time and got the hang of the requirements of the exercise. In the spirit of excelsior, the freshmen practiced familiar movements over and over again on the training ground. While issuing the command, the instructor also guided and corrected some details of the motions to ensure that the freshmen perform better in the upcoming exercises.
With the sound of a whistle, the second parade inspection of military training officially began. "Be strong in life, win glory for our school." The freshmen of the college shouted loud slogans and entered at a neat pace. As the 19th phalanx, students of SMS carried out exercises with high spirits. Nearly passing the rostrum, the commander issued a sonorous and forceful slogan: "Goose-step!" The students of SMS changed their pace swiftly and their steps were even, strong, and resounding. Each movement is accurate, with an error of only a few centimeters. When marching, the hundreds of freshmen were united as an individual, each with a solemn look and high spirit, showing the vitality of the youth.
The second parade inspection ended smoothly, and the freshmen of SMS changed from goose step to quick march, leaving the podium neatly. Li Hui and Zhang Zizhi, counselors of Grade 2019, praised and affirmed the second performance of the freshmen. At the same time, the instructors also pointed out some shortcomings for the freshmen and put forward suggestions and strategies to gradually improve in the last week in the hope of achieving excellent results in the final military parade inspection.
After that, Luo Ying, a freshman in Grade 2019 of SMS who took part in the second parade inspection, said, "I am very satisfied with the performance. I feel that this week's hard work has paid off. Meanwhile, I would like to thank the instructor for his guidance and the counselor for taking care of us as well. In the final training time, we will put more efforts into training with higher spirits to welcome the final military parade, striving to achieve good results, and winning glory for School of Mathematics and Statistics."
