At the beginning of the new semester, in order to let new undergraduates of Class 2021 understand the big subject of information management, the second lecture of "Freshman Seminar" was given by Professor Lu Xinyuan, Vice President of Teaching and Learning of our college, with the topic of "Information Management Major Study Planning and Requirements" in the afternoon of September 28.
Lu Xinyuan used the World Internet Conference to introduce the topic and pointed out that in the new era of the Internet, students of the School of Information Management should strive to advance so as to be the head of the giant wave of the times. Regarding the majors of the School of Information Management, Mr. Lu gave a detailed introduction from many angles, which gave the new students of Class 2021 a deeper understanding of the majors and a sense of the long development history of the college.
About the professional prospect, Lu Xinyuan explored the employment prospect of various majors in the college and cited several examples to support it. During the lecture, Mr. Lu was full of enthusiasm and actively guided the students to make their college life more exciting, as well as to be more in touch with the outside world and closely related to life through open experiments. In order to better motivate the students, Mr. Lu also introduced the employment situation of the seniors and their innovative entrepreneurial projects, so as to inspire the students to strive for advancement and follow the footsteps of the seniors and advance together.
The new students of Class 2021 responded positively and interacted with the lecturer to encourage each other and to aspire for betterment. At the same time, Lu Xinyuan also listed some negative examples for the new students of Class 2021, as a warning to the students to always work hard, and urged them to learn to plan their lives, cultivate their hobbies, improve their ability and character, and shape a best self. The seminar ended perfectly in the warm applause of the students.
