Celebration of The Birthday of Our Motherland, Recollection of The Magnificent History and Promotion of The Splendid Outlooks

The Voice of CCNU On 7 a.m., October, 1^st, in the dim light of the dawn, a national-raising ceremony was held with severe and solemness at Boone Library. Zhao Linyun, secretary of the Party Committee of the university, Hao Fanghua, the head teacher, and Peng Shuangjie, the vice principal, all attended the ceremony. Students lined up in a neat queue, full of enthusiasm with the Five-starred Red Flags waving in their hands against the wind.

With the song Ode to The Motherland beginning to be performed, here came the National Flag Guards of CCNU in the thud of marching feet, with fortified spirit and alert. The first rays of sunlight lit up the scene. The National Flag rose slowly and students stand in respectful silence and sang the national anthem to celebrate the centenary of the Communist Party of China and the 72^nd anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

2021 masters, the School of Marxism Studies in CCNU, lectured under the National Flag that “One hundred years of efforts, seventy-two years of thriving”. Cheng Lingjixiao initially extended the inmost heartfelt and sincere wishes to our motherland in this birthday. He fondly looked back on the glorious journey the Party has travelled over 100 years of struggle, led other students to the great path where the Communist Party of China pioneered to save, revitalize and rich our country and then drew charts of being well on its way to almost realize the dream of becoming a powerhouse. The day of September, 9^th was the eighth Martyr’s Day. As Cheng Lingjixiao expressed his highest expects and heartfelt appreciation to our motherland, he led students to pay their highest expects to the revolutionary martyrs, like Yun Daiying. After that, citing sayings in the meeting of celebrating the centenary of the Party, which was also from Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, he concluded that in the new era, the young people should make it their mission to contribute to national rejuvenation and aspire to become more proud, confident, and assured in their identity as Chinese people so that they can live up to the expectations of the times, the Party, and the people. He ended with an inspiring call to us that all the students should champion the great spirit of CCNU—be loyal, liberal, simple and resolute, and also pass on the motto of CCNU—Seek truth and innovation, cultivate virtue of people, to recall the magnificent history, promote the splendid prospects and take the lead to contribute to the national rejuvenation.

After the speech, as a leader, Sky Choir sang My Motherland and Me with all the students to express congratulations to our motherland. Red flags waving, all students wore serious expression and the voice of the youth resounded in the Guizi Mountain in the morning.
