On November 26th, the 2021 "meeting between School Leaders and School-level Student Organization Representatives” was held in the conference room on the first floor of the administration building. School Party Committee Secretary Zhao Lingyun, School Party Committee Deputy Secretary Chen Diming, and the heads of relevant functional departments of the school had discussions and exchanges with key members of the school’s student union, graduate student union, and student association guidance center. The meeting was hosted by Chen Diming.
Chen Diming pointed out that the school-level student organization was the bridge and link between the party of CCNU and its students, and it was an important institution for the work of our school. This meeting was not only a comprehensive inspection of the school-level student organizations, but also reflected the school's care and support for the construction of student organizations and the growth of student backbones.
Zhou Haiqian, a member of the presidium of the student union of the school, said that the student union had always adhered to the original mission of "doing practical things", serving the needs of students in various aspects such as ideological growth, spiritual culture, campus life, and overall development. Ge Yue, a member of the presidium of the postgraduate association of CCNU, talked about the relevant exploration of the school seminar to serve graduate students through a series of brand activities such as promoting the relationship between learning and conducting academic forums, giving feedback on life opinions, and innovating social practices. Duan Yafang, a member of the Presidium of the School Student Association Guidance Center, suggested that the school should further activate the function of club activities in classrooms during non-teaching periods, increase the amount of specific funds for club activities, and establish an incentive mechanism for club instructors as soon as possible.
The leaders of the Student Affairs Department of the Party Committee, Logistics Support Department, Infrastructure Department, Security Department and other departments respectively raised questions about the lack of student activity venues, the noise control of the school construction, the imbalance between the supply and demand of charging piles and motorcycles, and the inconvenience of students commuting between schools. The problems were responded to and answered, and solutions were proposed. Everyone unanimously stated that all departments would maintain close interaction with student organizations, upheld the "student-oriented" work philosophy, create conditions and provided assistance for student organizations to carry out work, and jointly served the growth and success of young students.
On behalf of the school Party committee, Zhao Lingyun fully affirmed the various work carried out by the student organizations and the valuable suggestions they made, and put forward relevant work requirements to the leader in charge of the student organizations. First, the student organizations must earnestly study Xi Jinping’s thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on education and youth further highlighted the political, advanced, and mass nature of student organizations. Second, through services to help students know, honor and love the school, student organizations must serve the healthy growth of all students and regard serving students as their first duty and mission and first value.
