The Red Classics Reading and Spread course of School of Information and Journalism of CCNU keeps going. This red practice was strongly supported by Education Bureau of Hanyang District, Wuhan City. At the same time, headmaster Wang Qiong of Xia Minghan Primary School, as the head of the school's moral education department, provided active cooperation and support to this event. On November 9, the teachers and students came to Wuhan Xia Minghan Primary School. This is the only school named after the revolutionary martyrs in Hanyang District, and it is also the beginning of the Hanyang red education series. At the recommendation of teacher Cao Hui, the executive vice president of Speech Association of Hubei Province, teachers and students of CCNU came here to explore the red gene and felt the red spirit.
Xia Minghan Primary School
Xia Minghan Primary School became the only red base school in Hanyang District that was selected as the "Red Education Resource Map of Wuhan Campus". The school actively integrates Xia Minghan and other red elements into the school-running practice, and roots feelings to family and national in students, teachers and parents. The school is lined with trees and beautiful scenery, it provides a powerful guarantee for the comprehensive and harmonious development of students and the improvement of their overall quality. It is a paradise for children to study. In recent years, with the care and support of governments and the Education Bureau at all levels, the school has deepened reforms, insisted on characteristic school running policy, and focused on training students' innovative thinking and creativity. The school has won many honorary titles at all levels and it is a trusted school for parents.
Before the start of the course, headmaster Wang Qiong of Xia Minghan Primary School explained to the students the significance of this red preaching activity and expressed his expectations for the online class: "In this event, teachers and students from the two schools will review Xia Minghan’s short but glorious life, to learn Xia Minghan’s firm revolutionary belief and revolutionary spirit of daring to take on and dedicate, let the red gene further integrates into the youth blood of the students, and let the red spirit inspires strength in the students’ hearts."
Affected by the epidemic prevention and control, teachers and students transformed courses that were originally scheduled to be carried out offline to be carried out online. On November 9, under the lead of teacher Chen Ke, the course teachers and students conducted online teaching with the teachers and students of Xia Minghan Primary School in the Studio Hall of Building No.9 of CCNU, and launched an unusual "Red Network Practice Course".
At the beginning of the course, the college students shared what they knew about the deeds of predecessor Xia Minghan in the form of a "solitaire game" with pupils of Xia Minghan Primary School and summarized them. Immediately afterwards, through the way of live reading online, everyone learned together the three family letters which were written by predecessor Xia Minghan before he died for revolution.
When talking about the understanding of predecessor Xia Minghan, Zhang Jiwei from Xia Minghan Primary School said: "Predecessor Xia Minghan had gallant heroism and he was a hero. At the last moment of his life, he was still strengthening his original intention and made an effect for the motherland. "The children raised their hands actively to speak: "After joining the Communist Party of China, predecessor Xia Minghan firmly chose to dedicate his life to the revolution. Under the threat of the enemy, he did not give in, and still made an effect for the revolution. We should study hard and salute the revolutionary predecessors."
Next, Zhao Pengchao and Ren Jinyu, the red speakers of the course "College Student Red Heart Preaching Group", gave a lively interpretation of the scene which happened before predecessor Xia Minghan died for revolution in the form of a "small theater".
"It doesn't matter if the head is beheaded, as long as the doctrine is true. Killed Xia Minghan, and there are people who follow me."
The heroic pledges, firm eyes, and the small theater they performed reappeared the heroic image of Xia Minghan's firm belief and loyalty to the revolution for the students.
After the small theater, the students expressed their learning feelings.
Student Wang Yuhong of CCNU said: "Xia Minghan's life practice has important enlightening significance for us to correct the pursuit of value , build the foundation of belief, and temper the style of work."
Qiao Chengshu quoted General Secretary Xi Jinping’s statement that “Belief is the spiritual ‘calcium’ of the communists. Without ideals and beliefs, or the ideals and beliefs are not firm, there will be a lack of calcium in the spirit” to seriously express his deep feelings.
Student Zhang Shiyu, who participated in the live broadcast, said: "At home, they were loving couples who were in love with each other. Outside, they were cooperative revolutionary partners. Although such a life was full of dangers at any time, with the husband by her side, Zheng Jiajun did not feel afraid of anything."
The lead-teacher of this course, Chen Ke, summarized the course: "What is the best inheritance? What is the best continuation of red? Everyone studies the will, spirit and ideals of the martyrs’ death for the revolution seriously. Use practical actions to prove them in normal life and this is the continuation, and this is our best salute to the revolutionary predecessors in the new time!"
At the end of the course, the students from the two schools watched a short video about Xia Minghan together. The children not only received the gifts brought by the older friends, but also had a deeper understanding of the righteous poem which every word was very convincing written by Xia Minghan, "there are later generations". The unique "Red Network Practice Course" developed for the epidemic prevention and control was successfully completed.
