To strengthen process guidance to students’ graduation papers, assure their writing quality, make every effort to guarantee students graduate smoothly, graduation papers opening report meeting of undergraduate of grade 2018 in Political Science and Administration and International Politics of School of Political Communication of CCNU was held officially on the morning of January 20. About 30 teachers participated in capstone presentation and all undergraduates made report.

Undergraduates of 2018 of School of Political Communication grew with the training mode of tutorial system, academic training and international training. School of Political Communication explored and implemented comprehensive training mode and established the new talent development scheme of “three and one large” (namely start from difficulty, from strict training, from reality and large amount of reading and writing), at the same time combined reality of school and top discipline advantage of political science, so as to implement the training mode to juniors which is similar to tutorial system of graduate students based on the principle of two-way choice, distribute professional tutors to every student, guide student’s study and research to lay a solid foundation for graduation papers. When the seniors of grade 2018 entered the school, School of Political Communication organized teachers from each major to recommend graduation papers topic selection, picked up outstanding titles, offered students question bank and started process of students’ graduation papers writing, during which related leaders and members of party groups attached great importance, regularly held joint meeting, made relevant programme of work, persistently promoted work of students’ graduation papers writing, guaranteed students to graduate smoothly.
Opening Report of Graduation Thesis of Undergraduates from Grade 2018
The opening report defense was held online, involving about 30 guidance teachers who were divided into seven groups. At the beginning of the report, with the theme of rural governance, whole process democracy, government performance appraisal, populist political logic, students successively made detailed report around selected topics basis, significance of research, the current situation of the topic selection research, the main content and ideas, the arrangement of the research, innovation points and key points and difficult points of the research, analyzed the knowledge and concepts concerned in the graduation papers. Having finished the report, the judges gave professional comments on the students’ defense, pointed out the deficiencies and problems in the students’ research and design, and practically put forward guiding suggestions. For example, Huang Huixiang pointed out that students should stress the main points which should be designing content and consider whether the research is practical in the specific practice. Professor Yuan Fangcheng mentioned in his comments that the research should be tiny and exquisite, the research objects should be followed up continuously, and specific cases should be selected for presentation. Professor Liu Congde said when commenting, students should pay attention to theorization and academic of language when it comes to the expression of the content of papers, and improve the accuracy of expression.
