To support rural revitalization, encourage all college students to devote themselves to social practice actively and contribute their youth power, the College of Economics and Business Management of CCNU worked together with Tianfeng Securities co., Ltd and organized 42 volunteers to carry out financial quotient education activity called Help Students Become High Flyers with Financial IQ for 21 kids coming from Maoping Middle School in Zigui county as well as Yaochang burg, Fang county during the winter holiday.
This activity set three modules consisted of financial quotient education theme-based curriculum, quality development thematic courses and one-on-one targeted tutoring, which fully took situations of the students into consideration. Before the activity began, the volunteers participated in training zealously. After they adequately learned about the needs of local parents and children, they made teaching plans and PPT as supplement teaching methods with heart and soul.
Up to now, the financial quotient education activity called Help Students Become High Flyers with Financial IQ has been implemented for many times. In the teaching progress, the volunteers combined the characteristics of their major with their teaching experience and gave financial quotient education courses from three dimensions which were morality, quality and concepts of financial quotient, which developed the children’s interest in financial quotient, enriched their relevant knowledge and did some help to the future development of these students. In addition, the volunteers consolidated the children’s study of basic subjects, helped them check leakage fill a vacancy and heartened them to be diligent and thoughtful, which fully showed missions and responsibilities of the students of CCNU.
After class, the volunteers had deeper understanding of this social practice. The volunteer whose name was Xing Jiayi said: “It’s my great honor to take part in this school-company supported teaching activity. During the practice, I put my professional knowledge into practice and improved myself. Moreover, I helped the students to establish concepts on financial quotient as well as promoted their related quality.”
This supported teaching activity associated college students who provided counselling online to offer education support, which contributed to realizing mutual growth and helping the teenagers to establish correct views on money as well as values. In the meantime, it could temper themselves and improve their sense of social responsibility, the sense of mission the braveness to search for their identities and the ability to take on tasks. The volunteers expressed one after another that this financial quotient education activity called Help Students Become High Flyers with Financial IQ made their winter vacation fuller and more meaningful. Beyond that, they hoped they could help the children living in country to acquire knowledge and expand their horizons with their power. By doing so, they would ignite hope with smiles, pass on eternity with love and light more corners with the candlelight of education.
