Li Yunan, Yang Wei Honored Respectively the Second and the Third Prize in the National Pre-service Teachers’ Competition of Micro Lecture

Recently, through the preliminary round, online assessment, and expert evaluation, the list of awards in the third National Pre-service teachers’ Competition of Micro Lecture was ultimately unveiled, among which existed 15 works from CCNU. The student from the school of Physics and Technology was named the second national prize for her Micro Lecture—Bernoulli’s principle from C919. Yang Wei was awarded the third national prize for the amazing application of atmospheric pressure. Both managed their works with the help of the instructor—associate professor Qiao Cuilan.


Li Yulan’s lecture video keeps up with current events. It introduces the topic from “C919”, starting with four little experiments about exploring the factors affecting the pressure. Through it, students could independently design little experiments, leading to them not only enjoying the scientific inquiry, but also being cultivated scientific attitudes and approaches and being encouraged to take an active part in exploring the relationship between flow velocity and pressure. Yang Wei’s Micro lecture alternated between reality and animation, allowing the contents to attract the students with intuitiveness. These physical lectures all come from life and are then applied to society. In their works, airplanes, trains, ships, all are the most common transportation tools in our life. Being closely related to our life makes students know how to apply what they learn and improve their safety awareness. Besides, Micro Lectures take the form of communicating with students, thus shortening the distance between teachers and students with rich and interesting content.


Ingenious and creative ideas in the Lectures earned critical acclaim from all the judges. It is said that, from September to November in 2021, they participated in the Macro Lecture competition of the school of Physics and Technology and won the first place. After that, on the behalf of the school, they attended the third National Pre-service teachers’ Competition Trial of Micro Lecture, respectively winning the first and second prize. They presented that, through the experience of attending these competitions, they had improved the effect of physical experiment teaching methods and strengthened the capacity of practicing and innovation, leading to lots of benefits with one being that they promote their growth in teachers’ expert skills and further develop their informatization teaching ability. the school of Physics and Technology will grasp the reform in physical learning methods, so as to enhance the quality of pre-service teachers’ literacy and continue the diligence and hard work in fostering and nurturing innovative remarkable teachers.
