The Voice of CCNU On the afternoon of May 13, the class meeting for students of Grade 2021 who joined the "Targeted Teaching Training Plan" of College of Physical Science and Technology was held in Conference Room 9535. With the topic of "Be diligent in thinking" and "Set up your ambition", this meeting was aimed at summarizing the thoughts, study and life situations of the students of “Targeted Teaching Training Plan” during the last semester and the first half of this semester. Wu Shaoping, vice president of the College of Physical Science and Technology, deputy party secretary Ma Ying, counselor Jiang Chunyong and all the students of the " Targeted Teaching Training Plan " participated in the class meeting, which was hosted by Ma Ying.

Jiang Chunyong firstly summarized the situation of the students in the program of "Targeted Teaching Training Plan" in terms of various ways such as ideological performance, academic performance and life in school since their enrollment. He said that most of the students had adapted well since their enrollment, but some of them faced difficulties in learning mathematics courses. At the same time, there were still a few students who did not know much about the policy of the " Targeted Teaching Training Plan ", even having some misunderstandings and being unwilling to make efforts.
Zhang Jiasen, the student representative of the class, introduced the students' participation in professional studies, student work, club activities and situations of awards. Student representatives Yuan Zhenyu and Liu Lei shared their experience in study methods and other aspects. Yuan Zhenyu advised students not to stay up late, but to focus on classes, communicate more with teachers and learn what they don't understand as soon as possible; they should fully understand the vital meaning of the implementation of “Targeted Teaching Training Plan” by our nation and the responsibilities they shouldered. Liu Lei, combining her own learning experience, suggested that they should make good use of the free time in the evening to create a nice learning atmosphere together with their roommates and classmates.

Zhao Zhuowei and Li Ruijie, normal students of Grade 2020, were invited to the class meeting to share their learning experience. Zhao Zhuowei harnessed the question of "what is gravity" to remind students to pay attention to the details and understand carefully when studying. At the same time, he inspired the students to think more about the reasons behind the knowledge, not just the surface of it, while recommending them to read widely in order to accumulate experience and improve qualities. Li Ruijie suggested that students should keep a diary to release themselves and regulate their emotions. Meanwhile, he pointed out that great university here means where students are encouraged to try more new things and take part in more activities to improve the overall quality.
Qiao Cuilan, the headteacher of the class, met with the students through the video chat. She hoped that they would never be afraid to face difficulties and encouraged them to participate in social practical activities, communicate with teachers, and find their own study methods to overcome the difficulties in their school life.
Every student attending the class meeting was presented with a copy of Xi Jinping's Seven Years of Youthfulness. They were expected to learn about the hard life and growth process of General Secretary Xi Jinping during his educated youth period, following the example of being virtuous and ambitious as a young man, cherishing the opportunity to study, refining their minds and wills, and finally improving their excellent skills rooted in basic education for the future.

In the free communication session, the students had an in-depth exchange of ideas about their current problems in studies, school life and student work. At the end of the activity, Wu Shaoping, vice president of the college delivered a conclusion speech of the class meeting, saying that the college would do its best to help the students of the "Targeted Teaching Training Plan" to solve their academic difficulties. Correspondingly, he encouraged them to face up the challenges and treasure time in the university, wishing students a fruitful campus life.
