The Voice of CCNU On the afternoon of October 13th, the Work Promotion Conference for Graduates of 2023 of College of Urban and Environmental Sciences was held at Conference room 609 of the college building. Liang Zhiqun, the secretary of the Party Committee of the college, Ao Rongjun, the dean of the college, all undergraduate counselors and head teachers of the graduating class all attended the meeting which was chaired by Rao Yanping, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the college.
To begin with, Rao Yanping explained that the conference aimed to introduce seniors’ basic information and current situation of entering higher schools and taking up occupations, analyze students’ difficulties and demand, integrate various resources and forces to better provide targeted guidance and assistance to seniors. Subsequently, Lu Wen, the undergraduate counselor of class 2018, generally reported students’ situation and elaborated it from employment situation, employment measures and work reflection. Furthermore, she analyzed and introduced the implementation of the employment work of newly graduated students, and shared her experience summarized in the course of promoting students’ employment work.
Zhang Zonggang and Liu Xinxing, counselors of seniors, gave an account of students’ fundamental state. Zhang Zonggang introduced the overall seniors’ situation in detail to leaders and teachers who participated in the conference, informed the results of graduation qualification inspection, listed different types of students in difficulty and reported the progress of graduates’ “five-must” and “six-one” work. Liu Xinxing showed the statistical results of a survey about students’ employment intention, analyzed students’ trend of employment, and put forward a work plan of serving for students’ entering higher education and providing employment guidance.
Next, class advisers briefly introduced their respective specific situation of class, shared their own experience of leading class, conducting conversations and guiding students, and discussed specific issues concerned on aspects like graduation requirements, academic early warning, sending employment information and cultivating employment capabilities. Class advisers fully expressed their own views and formed clearer definition of the direction of the work of the graduating grade through the discussion.
At the end of the meeting, Secretary Liang Zhiqun made requirements and suggestions on how to carry out the work of graduation grade. First, clearly understand the present situation of employment， look squarely at and care about students’ difficulties and demand of hunting jobs; Second, attach great importance to the employment work in the graduation grade. The successful progress of employment work is closely relevant to the stability and development of students, families and even the whole society, which is extremely significant; Third, counselors and head teachers should pay attention to their work methods, strengthen guiding in intelligence, experiences and emotion, and do student work well with the spirit of “great love”.
