The Voice of CCNU Again with the sweet-scent of osmanthus, the talents from far and wide gathered in CCNU. In order to assist students in adapting the living environment of the campus and making a good start of this semester, Institute of China Rural Studies initiated, for graduated students of grade 2022, “Launch from the Field”series adjusting education activity, which guided them to stand firmly for their dreams and conviction, cultivate their love and sense of honor for their school, enhance their awareness of necessary secure precaution, in the meantime, properly manage their own lives.
Learn the History of the Institute and the Development of the Subject
On the morning of 6 September, Dong Zhongfeng, the former professor of Institute of China Rural Studies and deputy dean of College of Teachers Education, was invited to make a lecture titled “CCNU’s History and Spirits for Century”. He narrated us touching stories named “Three Universities”and “Two Deans”, that helped the students learning the long history of the establishment of CCNU, its rich cultural deposits as well as its noble professional principle. Under the theme “Politics on the Guizi Mountain”, associated professor Ren Lou illustrated initiation, constitution and evolution of the study of politics of field with great specialty of CCNU,then he played the video, reviewing the academic life of professor Zhang Houan.
Fraud Prevention Education and Institute Principle Learning
For raising the consciousness of the secure precaution, on the morning of 7 September, police officer from the Mafangshan police station Liu Wenjuan was asked for hosting the “Anti-fraud Education”activity. Combining with her own experience of case investigation, officer Liu Wenjuan introduced 3 common procedures of 8 sorts of fraud on the Internet, which included online shop brush, online dating and false shopping, additionally, she warned our students to enhance the anti-fraud awareness and improve the ability of that. Afterwards, teacher from the student affair office of Institute of China Rural Studies demonstrated the “Party’s Constitution in the Field”and “Ideology and Politics of the Field”special talent cultivation modes from 3 aspects: what is it, what it contains and how it conducts, the graduate education arrangement and the regulations about the audit of the student grant.
Presentation of Career Planning and Works of Graduate Students Cultivation
On the afternoon of 8 September, in the part of guide of the career planning, Teacher Yang Guoqiang, who works at the employment office of the School Committee Student Affair Department, answered the significant questions such as how to make a career plan and how to deal with pressure, from 3 perspectives——mental state accommodation, social support and action motivation. Secretary of teaching and research office Tang Dandan gave a detailed explanation for the subject like tutor choice, cultivation scheme, cultivation plan and degree award, making the students clearly know about the teaching affairs of the institute.
Build A Bond of Believe between Professors and Students, Look ahead to the Future Together
From 6 September to 9 September, all the institutes and majors separately organized “meet-and-greet”campaigns for students and professors. They deeply discussed together with the relative questions, for instance, academic process, occupational project, tutor choice, essay writing and field work, providing students with a more accurate judgment for their study lives for next 3 years.
Warmness Delivered in the Mid Autumn, Real Care from the Institute
Affection of the mid autumn, the real care in the CCNU. On 9 September, when the mid autumn festival was coming, all students received the moon cakes from the institute, for the purpose of creating a pleasant atmosphere of the celebration as well as offering students a real home-like warmness. Simultaneously, the leadership and the professors came to the dormitories of the students, to estimate if the new entered students adjusted the new surrounding as well as if they met any troubles in their campus lives.
This“Launch from the Field”series adjusting education activity was the first lesson for the graduate students of grade 2022 in the Institute of China Rural Studies, actively implementing the policy of CCNU “Handle Concrete Affairs in A Down-to-earth Manner for Teachers and Students”. And after the one-week learning, the students not only have known more about the university history, subject development history, campus culture and talent cultivation, but also have strengthened their ambition and confidence to study, explore, meanwhile, thrive in the vast field of CCNU.
