(Reporter Liu Feng Li Zhaolin) On the afternoon of November 3, the Office of Student Affairs of CCNU held the liaison working meeting of Learning Development Center in Conference Room 301 of the Science Hall. Lang Dongpeng, deputy director (researcher) of the Business Department of Office of Student Affairs of the Party Committee, attended the meeting and arranged the work for the seventh Study Career Guidance Month. Liu Feng, the manager of the school Career and Learning Development Center, and 26 managers of college Learning Development Center from different colleges attended the meeting.
First, Lang Dongpeng pointed out that carrying out the Study Career Guidance Month was the work priority of Career Education and Learning Development Center in the second half of the semester. The details were as follows: Combining the original activities “Studying Style Construction Month” and “Academic Career Publicity Week”, then the activity mainly included “Studying Style Leading”, “Studying Atmosphere Cultivating”, “Studying Style Communication”, “Academic Tutoring” and “Career Navigation” five parts and 21 activities of construction of study style and career leading. Besides, he introduced the activity contents, points for attention and expected effects of the Study Career Guidance Month work in detail.
Next, Lang Dongpeng emphasized several priority work one after another. First, effectively promote the Postgraduate Admission Tests preparation counseling work. In view of students’ individual differences and demands and in order to solve the problems of “difficulty in implement” and “low efficiency” existing in the early stage of the activity, the school Career and Learning Development Center launched the postgraduate exam assistance activity called “Preparing for the Postgraduate Admission Tests Together” . He hoped that each college would actively organize activities and mobilize in the subsequent work as well as provide practical and personalized support for students. Second, expand the group of activity participants and break the limit that only the undergraduates could take part in the “Studying Atmosphere Construction Month” activity to ensure that both of the undergraduates and postgraduates could participate in the “Construction of Study Style” and “Career Education”, which better promoted the two work to be carried out in the whole school. Third, encourage each college to mobilize students to attend the career awareness training lectures, so as to help students to cultivate their career awareness as soon as possible.
Last, counselors of different colleges communicated and discussed on the activity plan and put forward some suggestions. As Zhu Yun, the postgraduate counselor of Institute of Language, advised, she hoped that the school could jointly undertake the “Graduate student guidance exchange luncheon and afternoon tea” and the discussion activity “Fasten the first button of academic career” for postgraduates. Luo Sha, the counselor of School of Journalism and Communication, suggested that the school could hold some career guidance activities for sophomores. Lang Dongpeng fully affirmed the suggestions, then he said,”I hope each college could be responsible for the work undertaken, if there are some difficulties during the development of the work, please reflect at any time and we will try our best to help you deal with them.”
This liaison working meeting of Learning Development Center mainly introduced the activities and arranged the work for the seventh Study Career Guidance Month, which promoted the career education and the efficient cooperation between Learning Development Center and each college, in the meanwhile, accelerated the orderly process of the activities to further strengthen the construction of study style of our school, popularize the career education and create a good study atmosphere together.
