The Voice of CCNU At 2:30 p.m. on March 3, 2023, the inauguration ceremony of "Xiaoting Civic and Political Science Studio" in the School of Economics and Business Administration of Huazhong Normal University was held in the lecture hall of 10127 South Lake Complex. Li Diao, Vice Minister of the Student Work Department of the Party Committee and Director of the Department of Civic Affairs, Liang Wei, Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the Party Committee, Xu Zengyang, Dean of the School of Public Administration, Tu Zhengge, Dean of the School of Economics and Business Administration, Yan Lili, a full-time organizer, Su Xiaogang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Psychology, Wang Tao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Information Management, Huang Tao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Education, Xie Zhipeng, Associate Professor of the School of Economics and Business Administration, all counselors of the School of Economics and Business Administration and more than 100 students. All counselors of the College and more than 100 representatives of the students of this research attended this activity. The ceremony was hosted by Chen Juan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Economics and Management.
The inauguration ceremony began with a promotional video of "Xiaoting Civic Science Studio". The film introduced the composition of the studio and the scope of work of the studio, showed the working method of the studio members to go deep into the student group and serve the student group, conveyed the working philosophy and direction of "Xiaoting Civic and Political Science Studio", and made the teachers and students present realize the importance and necessity of Civic and Political Science work.
Tu Zhengge expressed his gratitude to the leaders and guests, the experts and scholars, and all the teachers and students who provided support and assistance. He mentioned that we should attach importance to both curriculum practice and Civic Education, and hoped that "Xiaoting Civic Studio" could approach and penetrate into the student community, know what students need, solve students' problems, and become a "brand" studio that students praise.
Li Diao, Vice Minister of the Student Work Department of the Party Committee and Director of the Department of Civic Affairs, firstly praised the student work of the College of Economics and Management and affirmed the achievements of the brand platform of the "Economics" series. He hoped that the studio would become better and better. At the same time, he encouraged the teachers to do a better job in their own work and to do a better job of thought guidance and management services with innovative forms and methods. As an emerging studio, Mr. Li encouraged students to give more opinions and help the studio to build, while the university will invest more hardware and software to nurture and support the construction of "Xiaoting Civic Science Studio".
Through the micro-lesson demonstration and practical story-telling, the studio showed its characteristic concept of "setting up a cloud pavilion for thinking and politics, and building a golden bridge for practice", and explored a more popular form of education and guidance for students. Ms. Lei Xiaoting's micro-lesson "Be a screw that never rusts" was introduced by Comrade Lei Feng's journal quotes, and by integrating the stories of youth role models from different eras, she discussed the triple tests of "bitterness and happiness", "gain and loss", and "small and big self". The students were encouraged to build their ideals and beliefs and contribute their youthful power to build a strong motherland; Wen Can, on behalf of the "Hongwan Volunteer Service Team", told a micro-lesson on the topic of "Volunteering and injecting financial water, warming the heart and protecting the pistil to help the countryside". With her personal experience of teaching in the countryside, she encouraged the youth to actively participate in social practice services, bring their professional knowledge to all parts of the motherland, popularize basic financial knowledge education, and at the same time, go deep into the fields and countryside to promote the accelerated revitalization of the countryside, and contribute their own strength in the place where the motherland needs it most.
