In order to further strengthen the ideological and political education of college students and further enhance the study of Xi Jinping's thought of Socialism with Chinese characteristics in the New era, Jiang Xiaowen, a member of the school's Boya Advocacy Group and the undergraduate counselor of the Law School, carried out an education on the theme of "Study and Comprehend Xi Jinping's Thought of Ecological Civilization" to the undergraduate students of Class 2022 of the Law School on the evening of May 21.
Starting with the term "ecological civilization", Jiang Xiaowen reviewed the progress from the global ecological crisis to ecological civilization, and expanded the knowledge on global climate change and the current situation of ocean ecological environment. At the same time, she introduced the development progress of ecological construction in China, then she emphasized the forming background of the thought and the achievements in ecological and environmental projection since the 18th National Congress. She also troduced the profound connotation of Xi Jinping's Thought of Ecological Civilization and the concept of "people first" in the thought, focusing on the three major theories and practical questions of why we build ecological civilization, what kind of ecological civilization and how to build ecological civilization. She also explained that Xi Jinping's Thought of Ecological Civilization is a scientific thought that responds to people's major concerns, safeguards people's rights in ecological environment, realizes people's main values, ensures people's main status, which has deep humanistic care and fully manifests the concept of people's supremacy.
In the interactive session, Jiang Xiaowen discussed with the students on "the practices and experiences of cities and villages in the process of ecological civilization construction" and "what should the contemporary youth do in the construction of ecological civilization", guiding them to think about the responsibilities of the youth of today in the construction of ecological civilization. The students were guided to think about the responsibility of contemporary youth in the construction of ecological civilization. Jiang Xiaowen pointed out that the construction of ecological civilization is a long-term plan for the people's welfare and the future of the nation, and a major strategic task for the whole Party and the whole nation, and that young students should actively respond to the call of building ecological civilization, start from the small things, protect nature and the ecological environment as protect their eyes, and carry out the concept of "Clear waters and green mountains are as valuable as mountains of gold and silver" into their life, study and work, and contribute to building a beautiful China.
