On the afternoon of November 3, the employment summary of 2023 graduates of the School of Information Management and the employment launch conference of 2024 graduates were held in the lecture hall on the first floor of the Nanhu Complex Building. The meeting summarized the experience and shortcomings of the employment of graduates of 2023, analyzed the employment situation and policies in 2024, and fully deployed the employment work of students in 2024. All faculty members, all graduates of the Class of 2024 and some non-graduating graduate students attended the conference, and students' parents attended the conference online. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Cao Gaohui.
Wang Yulu, secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Information Management, made a comprehensive review and systematic sorting from the graduation situation, employment situation, employment process, employment precautions and other aspects of the college in recent years, and carried out an in-depth analysis of the current employment situation. He stressed that although the current employment situation is complex and grim, there are still many job opportunities and
high-quality full employment is still achievable. Special guest, Ms. Yang Chunling, combined the development of Wuhan United Imaging Intelligence Medical Technology Co., Ltd. and the job recruitment, analyzed the current demand and supply situation in the market, introduced the main observation points for selecting and employing personnel in recruitment units, reminding everyone to grasp the details in employment and shine in the workplace. She encouraged everyone to "look up at the stars, and work hard on the ground", strive to be ideal, passionate, fearless of hardships, and always move forward in the era of young people.
In the employment experience sharing session, Professor Duan Yaoqing and Professor Tan Chunhui shared their employment experience. Duan Yaoqing pointed out that despite the challenging employment situation, students should maintain professional confidence, dare to be confident, and fight for opportunities. At the same time, he wants graduates to identify their strengths and goals by categorizing jobs. Tan Chunhui introduced his experience of being a salesman, a liaison and a waiter in helping students with employment, hoping that teachers could provide more convenience and platforms for graduates' employment development, and also hoped that students could take the initiative to realize their own employment development vision in seeking support.
2023 graduate student Hu Jinwen from the personal basic situation, the recruitment examination process and points for attention and other aspects of her employment experience, she hopes that graduates can stay calm in the recruitment interview, try to show themselves. Liu Mengyuan, an undergraduate of the class of 2021, shared her experience in making personal resumes, stressed the importance of tailored resumes and accurate orientation, and shared her experience and skills in the interview, hoping that graduates can improve their comprehensive abilities and bravely express themselves in the interview.
At the end of the conference, President Li Yuhai gave a speech on employment mobilization.
