The Voice of CCNU “Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and experience and feel the flow of the music. Just as the changes of the movement, the ups and downs are the norm of life.” On the evening of December 15, the spiritual healing concert of "All Sounds" of the series activities of the 40th Publicity Month of Mental Health of University Students of CCNU, was held in the Concert Hall of CCNU. The audience relaxed their bodies and healed their souls with the soothing music and gentle whispers.
The theme of this spiritual healing concert is "All sounds", which aims to discover the unique sounds around us, excavate the beauty and transmit the beauty, as well as aims to guide the audience to complete psychological healing, relax the body and heal the soul in the nourishment of literature and music.
Under the accompaniment of allegro and adagio, the concert opened with a song "The Fishermen Sing".
Scattered dozens of players used melodious music to lead the audience out of the city noise, toward the natural scene of "the evening glow parallels with a lonely duck to fly and the autumn river shares a scenic hue with the vast sky".
With "Cui Yu" performed by Wang Jiarui, the audience, under the guidance of the teacher Mou Yunjing from the Mental Health Education Center, closed their eyes, took a deep breath and felt the flow and ups and downs of music to accept the ups and downs of life. At the end of the song, the children's childlike speech that the tenderness of nature could be felt after closing the eyes, triggered bursts of applause from the audience in the session of communication and interaction.
The performance of "Love Spring Breeze" unfolds gradually in the slow and melodious video, played by Xu Linxuan and Xu Kefei together, whose light rhythm guided the audience to describe their own scenery of spring breeze. After the spring breeze brought to the audience, Zhu Jiyue, Weng Ziting and Zhang Weiya played a song "Xiao Man", sketching out the ordinary but glittering days with the sound of Guzheng, and helping the audience understand the life philosophy of "there is no need to worry too much about profit and loss, and a little is always a big deal" in the music.
In concert with the recitation by Zhang Wenzhao from the School of Music, the "Waves of the Sea" performed by Chang Runyang showed the magnificent scenery of the sea in the drawing, wiping, splitting and picking, and the audience felt as if they were in the magnificent seaside and immersed themselves in the excitement of the waves.
When the passionate waves of the sea faded, the emerging was the river at the red cliff. In the sound of "Memories of the Past at Red Cliff" played by Tao Sihan, the audience could feel the river water gushing east and the sound of Guzheng making the red cliff empty, and experience the feeling of loss by “Life is but like a passing dream, I'd drink to the moon which once saw them on the stream". Don’t be confined to the immediate adversity. In "Ding Feng Bo", teacher Li Zheli’s leisurely music led the audience to appreciate the scene of the rising sun after the rain, and the audience could appreciate the open-minded mood in the face of tough life from the generation of literary master, Su Dongpo.
Finally, 16 people played the song, "Mincing Horses Walk in Mincing Steps". Looking back at the historical corridor, with glasses of wine, horse dancing in such festival, it was just like a lively scene in the Tang Dynasty. After the songs and dancing, the banquet came to an end.
After the concert, the audience said that they felt the healing and moving from the music. "As the final exams are approaching, listening to such a concert really relaxes the spirit." Said Xiong Meihui, a student from the School of Chinese language and Literature of CCNU. Zheng Lemin, another student from the School of Chinese language and Literature, said, "When listening to the first few soothing songs, we can feel the tenderness of nature, and the later songs about Su Dongpo provide us the feeling of really being in the stream of history."
The concert was sponsored by the Office of student affairs of CCNU and the Mental Health Education Center of CCNU, hosted by the School of Chinese language and Literature and School of Music, and co-organized by the Department of Instrumental Music of the School of Music, Wenxiaoshi Aesthetic Education Ideological and political Studio, the psychological workstation of "Wenxin Post" of the School of Chinese language and Literature and the psychological workstation of "Aiyve" of the School of Music.
