The Voice of CCNU On the morning of April 7th, 2024, the fourth session of the counselor salon was held in the multifunctional room 501 of the South Building of the Humanities and Science Research Building. The event was organized by the Student Work Department of the Party Committee, organized by the Training and Training Center of the Ministry of Education's College Ideological and Political Work Team (Central China Normal University) and the Hubei Province College Counselor Training Base (Central China Normal University), and co organized by the China Rural Research Institute. Cai Peng, Deputy Director and Associate Researcher of the Social Science Department of Central China Normal University, shared on the theme of "Improving the Scientific Research Ability of College Counselors and Standardizing Project Application Skills". Li Diao, Deputy Director of the Student Work Department and Director of the Ideological and Political Affairs Department of the Party Committee, Li Xianling, Deputy Director of the Ideological and Political Affairs Department, and more than 50 representatives of some college Party Committee deputy secretaries and full-time and part-time counselors attended the meeting. Li Diao presides over the event.
Cai Peng pointed out that the counselor team is an important component of the school's research team, and research ability is an indispensable core literacy of counselors, as well as a manifestation of seeking truth and pragmatism in their work. He explained in detail how to improve scientific research literacy, carry out scientific research activities, apply for scientific research projects, and produce scientific research results through four aspects: laying a foundation, expanding channels, strengthening skills, and increasing effectiveness. He also deconstructed the argumentation module of the project application from the practical operation level, and proposed that the writing of the project application should revolve around the core word of "striving for excellence", striving to achieve precise problem selection, concise literature review, insightful core viewpoints, precise research data, brilliant expression style, exquisite chart making, fine text format, and high-quality overall goals. Finally, he encouraged all counselors to broaden their horizons in ideological and political work, refine innovative models for ideological and political work, and combine practical work to find real problems, conduct real learning, and conduct real research.
Li Diao gave a concluding speech. He first expressed gratitude to Cai Peng for his invitation to share the theme, then emphasized the importance of organizing a counselor salon activity, and put forward three expectations for future work: first, to sink down, adhere to rooting in the grassroots front line, continuously summarize and refine ideological and political work experience, and accumulate practical materials for scientific research work; Secondly, we need to take action, learn to identify small incisions in problems, and write articles on ideological and political education; Thirdly, it is necessary to participate more and make full use of the platform provided by the school, actively participate in the construction and research work of the "Truth Seeking Counselor Growth and Development Studio", and build a first-class team of counselors with comprehensive quality.
