The Voice of CCNU At 14:30 on July 2, the 21st session of the Counselor Salon was held in the meeting room in the Mental Health Center. The salon was mainly hosted by the Office of Student Affairs and the Mental Health Center, organized by the School of Life Sciences. The salon was hosted by Yu Lixia, Deputy Director and Associate Professor of the Mental Health Center. Yu Haijun, a full-time teacher and registered psychologist of the Mental Health Center, and Cui Hongbo, a counselor of undergraduates in the 2022 class in the School of Chinese Language and Literature, served as guests. Ma Ying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Physical Science and Technology, and 24 counselors from each school participated in this discussion.
Firstly, Cui Hongbo introduced the case of the solutions to the psychological crisis, analyzed the importance and constructive strategies of four pairs of relationships in psychological crisis intervention work, and put forward current doubt: "How to establish a trust relationship rapidly with students".Yu Haijun, an expert in psychological crisis guidance, analyzed the key points to tackle cases and notable matters in crisis cases from three aspects: "initial evaluation of psychological crisis"，" information management of psychological crisis" and "establish a trust relationship rapidly".Afterward, the conferees launched an in-depth discussion around the dilemma of current psychological crisis work. Ma Ying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Physical Science and Technology, pointed out that education is a subtle and unrecognized thing, which needs to take us a long time to strive for success. She shared some practices about "How to earn students' trust quickly"， combined with the orientation work. Finally, Deputy Director Yu Lixia used 3 key words "active work, careful moment, and mutual-help teamwork" to summarize the common methods to deal with the dilemma in psychological crisis intervention work.
After the activity, teachers who attended this salon expressed that this in-depth discussion has strong typicality, practicality, and guidance, which effectively improved the counselors' ability to tackle the psychological crisis intervention work and laid a solid foundation for them to provide more personalized and effective advice in their future work.
