The Voice of CCNU In this golden season of September when autumn osmanthus fragrance is wafting, Grade 2024 postgraduate freshmen of School of Sociology from all over the country will start their new journals in Guizi Mountain or Southern Lake. In order to extend a warm welcome to all our freshmen and provide a boost to the assimilation into postgraduate routine and class, the School of Sociology launched a freshmen orientation meeting of Grade 2024 postgraduate freshmen in Room 8112 of Building 8 at ten on the morning of September 4th. The conference was presided by Postgraduate Counselor Zhai Juan, and other leaders present at the conference included Postgraduate Teaching Secretary Gu Feng, Party Affairs Officer Xiang Jing with all the freshmen participated.
At the beginning of the conference, Postgraduate Counselor Zhai Juan first introduced the composition and origins of students and undergraduate colleges of Grade 2024 full-time postgraduate students of the school, which was an important entry point for an in-depth understanding and a harmonious atmosphere. Then she noted offices and contact information of the postgraduate working and teaching as well as Party affairs for convenient contact in a timely manner in case of problems. Subsequent to Zhai, Postgraduate Teaching Secretary Gu Feng introduced academic credits, graduation procedures and blind appraisal of dissertation for a profound understanding of postgraduate cultivation. Later, Party Affairs Officer Xiang Jing stressed the recruitment of Party members and transference of Party organizations which students concerned about, where he encouraged them to actively draw closer to the Party and hold themselves to a very high standard. Finally, all the teachers with senior female schoolmates responded to the doubts raised by freshmen before the conference.
The conference drew to a successful end amid a round of warm applause, through which freshmen increased mutual understanding and felt the deep consideration of the school. It’s hoped that postgraduate freshmen can live youth to the fullest with great drive and innovation to write a splendid chapter in the future.
