The Voice of CCNU On the evening of September 25th, the Defense meeting for the 2024 Undergraduate National Scholarship of the School of Information Management was held in Room N111 of the Nanhu Comprehensive Building. Wang Yulu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Information Management, Wang Tao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Yi Ming, Vice Dean and Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Information Resources Management, Liu Bailing, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Information Management and Information Systems, Ye Guanghui, Director of the Department of Big Data Management and Applications, Wang Ping, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of E-commerce, Wang Guangchao, Chairman of the Trade Union, Jiang Tianming, Gao Mingyun, Li Yanhai, Bai Yang, Wu Guangmei, and full-time undergraduate counselors Jiang Keming and Wang Le attended the scene and served as defense judges. All undergraduate students and representatives of all grades in 2024 will observe and learn on the spot.
At the beginning of the event, Wang Yulu mentioned that the national scholarship is an important observation window for measuring the quality of human talent, and congratulated the students who participated in the defense of the national scholarship, fully recognizing the courage and ability of the national scholarship candidates in his speech. At the same time, he stated that excellence should be achieved through the combination of five educations, moral first, diversified development, and not being a refined self-interest seeker, and he hoped that the students present could make good use of the defense activity to learn from and absorb, integrate and innovate, emulate excellence and role models.
There were eleven candidates from three grades in this defense meeting, who presented themselves from the aspects of academic performance, ideology and politics, scientific research competitions, social practice, and comprehensive development, and were scored by the on-site judges which based on the preliminary comprehensive investigation and defense. They fully demonstrated their growth insights and achievements in university to the audience, winning warm applause and admiration from the on-site audience. After the defense session, the students actively interacted with each candidate, asking and exchanging questions related to the development of university study.
In the conclusion and evaluation, Yi Ming encouraged the students to be leaders and pioneers, and encouraged the students to focus on the all-round development of moral, intelligent, physical, aesthetics, and labor education. At the same time, he encourages students to keep their enthusiasm for learning, learn from outstanding classmates, go beyond themselves, and strive to create brilliance again. After evaluation, Yi Ming announced the list of students to be awarded: Qi Xiaoying, Tang Jiayue, Liu Wenling, Lou Peilin, Chen Shibei ,and congratulated the award-winning students and all the candidates for their excellent performance.
This defense meeting has built a platform for outstanding students in our college to show themselves, summarize themselves, and examine themselves, expressing the college's recognition and encouragement for the outstanding students who are diligent and comprehensive development, and has also pointed out the direction and development goals for 2024 freshmen, which is of great significance for creating an atmosphere of innovation and excellence, and setting young role models.
