The Voice of CCNU - On the morning of September 26, the 2024 Hubei Province "Golden Phoenix Project" scholarship distribution ceremony was held in the first-floor meeting room of our school's administrative building. Qin Li, a member of the Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Hubei Provincial Women's Federation, and Liu Hongda, our school's Vice Chancellor, attended the event. Twenty student representatives who are recipients of the scholarship participated in the distribution ceremony, which was hosted by Han Junhua, Deputy Minister of the Party Committee's Student Affairs Department.
Liu Hongda expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Hubei Provincial Women's Federation and the Women's and Children's Development Foundation for their kind deeds. He mentioned that since 2012, more than 80 female students from our school have received funding from the "Golden Phoenix Project," which has given them the confidence to pursue their dreams and the opportunity to realize their self-worth. He encouraged the recipient students to cherish this assistance, convert it into motivation for learning, and reward society with excellent achievements and convey love.
Past recipient student representative Wang and new student recipient representative Liu shared their personal experiences. They told of their indissoluble bond with the "Golden Phoenix Project" and expressed their determination for unceasing self-improvement and their gratitude to society through stories of their educational journey, dream fulfillment, and volunteer service.
Qin Li offered words of encouragement to the recipient students, urging them to carry forward the "Four-Self Spirit," to be esteemed, confident, self-reliant, and strong women of excellence in the new era. She hoped that everyone would grow towards the sun, strive upwards for knowledge, and put down deep roots, striving to become young people with ideals, beliefs, knowledge, abilities, compassion, and responsibility.
