Counselor Salon | More on Critical Issues in the Career Development of College Counselors

The Voice of CCNU The 25th “Counselor Salon” in 2024 was launched in the conference room 407 of the North Building of the Liberal Arts Research Building at 10:00 on the morning of September 30th, which was sponsored by the Student Work Department of the Party Committee and hosted by School of Marxism. Li Diao, Deputy Director of the Student Work Department and Director of the Ideological and Political Affairs Department of the Party Committee, addressed an experience sharing with the theme of “More on Critical Issues in the Career Development of College Counselors”. More than 70 graduate and undergraduate full-time and part-time counselors from each school participated in the salon. The salon was presided by Shao Lili, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Marxism.



Director Li elaborated on the key competencies, career planning, both specialized and professional development paths and another two aspects of counselors, where he noted that counselors should be not only politically committed with integrity, vision, pragmatic dedication and the sense of responsibility and mission so as to shoulder arduous tasks and responsibilities of basic disciplines of students, but also integrated with work practice for optimization of work paths and excellence. Counselors present at the conference felt deeply inspired, and then extended sincere gratitude for Li’s sharing and direction and also expressed that they would keep continuous promotion in work ability in the front line of education and undertake the responsibilities and missions of counselors before the salon drew to a successful end amid an enjoyable atmosphere.
