In order to do a good job of warm education, enrich the after-school life of students, and help them experience the state of heart flow and cultivate the qualities of patience and optimism by focusing on the art of knitting, the 14th “Wool Crocheting Experience Class” of the One-Stop Student Community “Heart Power - Happiness Night School” was held on the evening of October 26th at the One-Stop Student Community Service Center (the 18th dormitory in the East District). This activity was led by Wang Dan, a peer tutor from the Jingxin Studio of the School of Economics and Business Administration, and a total of 8 students from various colleges of the university signed up to participate.
At the beginning of the activity, the leader Wang Dan introduced various materials and their usage and personally demonstrated the decomposition of crocheted sweaters. It was the first time most of the students had come into contact with this kind of artistic creation, and it was quite difficult for them to learn at first. The leader took great pains to coach them one by one and showed them how to do it in detail. The students also exchanged ideas with each other and constructed their works in the course of discussion and learning.
With their nimble fingertips, the students skillfully manipulated the wool, which gradually began to take form and come alive. Each one of them meticulously chose accessories that complemented their creations, taking great care to ensure that every detail was just perfect. Finally, with a sense of accomplishment, they proudly held their works in their hands and captured these precious moments with photos.
This activity was challenging and time-consuming, but under the guidance of the leaders, students completed their works after trying and working hard again and again. When a fresh “apple” lay obediently in the palm of their hands, all the efforts were worthwhile at the moment.
The “Wool Crochet Experience Class” of the Heart Power - Happiness Night School ended successfully. Everyone said that this activity was more difficult than the previous ones, but when the temperature of the hand soothed the restlessness in the heart; when the colorful wool bloomed into unique works in the hand, “slow life” was materialized at this moment.
