The Voice of CCNU On the morning of January 7, the 2024 student work assessment Report meeting of Central China Normal University was held in the lecture hall on the first floor of the Science Hall. Chen Deming, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the school, the person in charge of the relevant functional departments of the school and the deputy secretary of the sub-Party committees of the training units, all full-time and part-time counselors attended the meeting. At the meeting, 25 training units reported on the ideas, measures and effects of the students' work in accordance with the drawing order. In the past year, the work of students in various training units of the school has been full of highlights and remarkable results.

After the report, Li Diao, the deputy minister of the Party Committee's Student Affairs Department and director of the Ideological and Political Education Office, made arrangements and deployments for the safety and stability of students during the winter vacation, and put forward four work requirements: First, enhance awareness. All units must truly strengthen their sense of responsibility, bottom-line thinking, and crisis awareness regarding student safety and stability work, and take the safety and stability of students during the winter vacation as an important task to be implemented with great effort. Second, build a solid defense. All units should mobilize through various channels such as joint Party and government meetings, faculty and staff meetings, and student affairs meetings, seek support from multiple forces, and meticulously plan the safety and stability work for students during the winter vacation. Third, focus on key points. All units should closely monitor and continuously care for key student groups, identify potential safety risks and hazards during the winter vacation based on their own circumstances, and develop targeted work plans to firmly hold the bottom line of school safety and stability during the winter vacation. Fourth, implement in detail. All units should make the safety and stability work for students during the winter vacation specific and list-based, assign responsibilities to positions and tasks to individuals, promptly grasp students' travel plans, movement trajectories, and actual needs, and provide refined and personalized education and management services for students.

Finally, Chen Diming, the deputy secretary of the university's Party committee, delivered a speech. He first highly affirmed the student work of each training unit in 2024 and made arrangements and mobilizations for the student work in the next year. He pointed out that the student work in 2025 should be more efficient and of higher quality on the basis of last year's work. It should always adhere to the student-centered approach, deeply implement the new era's moral education and talent cultivation project, comprehensively promote the refinement of ideological education, the digitalization of administrative management, the personalization of employment work, and the high-quality development of psychological education, continuously polish the brand of "warm education", and constantly create a new situation in student work. First, further promote the refinement of ideological education. Solidly carry out the "six ones" and "five must talks", focus on the main responsibilities and tasks, shift the work focus downward, provide meticulous services to students, go deep into classrooms, dormitories, and students' families, accurately grasp the ideological and psychological dynamics and learning and living conditions of students, precisely meet the growth and development needs of each student, and make ideological and political education resonate in students' hearts, truly enhancing their sense of gain and happiness from ideological and political education. Second, further promote the digitalization of administrative management. Starting from the application of AI intelligence, upgrade and iterate the "Smart Student Affairs", build an "AI + Ideological and Political" smart system oriented towards education, and achieve field integration, human-machine collaboration, teacher-student interaction, and panoramic ideological and political education. Third, further promote the personalization of employment work. At the school level, establish a student employment big data system to achieve professional profiling, enterprise profiling, job profiling, and student employment profiling, and precisely push job opportunities. At the college level, assign dedicated personnel to handle employment, accurately investigate the employment intentions of graduates, precisely match people and jobs, precisely organize graduates to participate in job fairs, and precisely carry out personalized employment guidance and assistance, achieving "one file per person" and "one policy per student", to promote high-quality and full employment of graduates. Fourth, further promote the high-quality development of psychological education. Build high-quality university-level psychological centers and college-level secondary psychological workstations, hold regular joint meetings on mental health education at both university and college levels, offer high-standard compulsory and elective courses on mental health education, conduct high-demand training on mental health knowledge and skills for counselors, head teachers, psychological committee members, dormitory leaders, and dormitory administrators, organize high-level psychological activities, individual counseling, and group guidance, and provide high-standard 24-hour all-weather psychological crisis response and intervention services, effectively improving the quality of mental health education in the school.

Secretary Chen also emphasized that by 2025, the school will thoroughly implement the "six determinations" requirements set by the Ministry of Education regarding the construction of the counselor team, namely, defining the nature, position, direction, staffing, standards, and model. It will continue to carry out the "Team Building Year" series of activities, deeply implement the targeted supply-oriented "Counselor Education Ability Enhancement Project", and strive to establish four major mechanisms: standardized management and assessment, diversified growth promotion, systematic training and development, and exemplary model selection and establishment. This will comprehensively promote the professionalization, vocationalization, and expertization of the counselor team.
