This movie set at the time when the eco-system of earth had been damaged and the existence of human was under threat. With the dramatic plunge of food resources, a project was planned to be launched which aimed to find a rather proper planet for human to live. As a former astronaut, Cooper was chosen to participate in this spaceflight task. However, his decision was extremely rejected by his daughter Mofei, who kept great enthusiasm and curiosity about the space, since she had received the messages sent by the “ghost”(which was firstly explained as gravitational anomaly in this story) in her room, which said “stay” at the leaving time of Cooper. However, it seemed that he was determined and just left one of his watches to Mofei.
当地球生态环境被破坏，食物资源短缺，人类生存受到严重威胁时，人类决定发动一次航天计划，寻找一个适合生存的星球。前任航天员库伯决定参与这次任务。然而，这却遭到了他小女儿墨菲的坚决抗议。尽管她对外太空异常痴迷和好奇，但她接到了她房间里面“幽灵”（在影片开始时被解释为引力异常）的信息——留下。可库伯心意已决，给女儿留下了一块手表，便离开了。
In fact the plan did not work smoothly. The original plan required this group of experts to meet the scientists who had already been sent to the planets in another galaxy through a wormhole which was considered to be possible for us to live, then take analysis. But a series of accidents occurred, after the experience of breakdown of machines as well as betrayal, only Cooper and another female scientist named Brand survived. Due to the lack of fuel, he eventually decided to sacrifice himself to send her to the last appropriate site, which had been abandoned because of its far distance in the beginning.
但是航天计划进行得并不顺利。原本这些被派往外太空的专家要穿越虫洞到另一个星系，与另外的已经到达可能宜居星球的科学家会和，然后对这些星球环境进行评估。在经历了设备故障和队友背叛的种种意外后，只有库伯和一名叫布兰德的女科学家活了下来。因为燃料短缺，库伯在最终时刻决定牺牲自己，将布兰德送到最后一个有希望的星球。在最初这个星球因为所在距离太远，被否决了。
As a result of gravity, the length of time was much quicker in another galaxy. So to Mofei, it took decades for her dad to accomplish this mission, and during this period, she has become an outstanding physicist. She could not work out the formulas which might rescue the human because of the lack of data measured from the wormhole.
因为引力的关系，另一个星系的时间要比银河星的时间慢得多。对于墨菲来说，为了完成这个任务，她的父亲要离开几十年。在父亲离开的这段时间，她已经成为了一名优秀的物理学家。她因为缺少从虫洞手机的数据，一直无法解开可以拯救人类的关键方程。
Cooper didn’t die, but was pushed into a five-dimensional space which could correspond the bedroom of his daughter and he was able to control the items in this room within gravity. He suddenly realized that the so-called “ghost” was just himself. For the importance of the data that he collected, he sent these significant messages through books as well as the watch that he left. Finally, the human were saved and set up new homeland on another planet thinks to the numbers that Mofei got from her watch.
库伯并没有死，他被送到了一个五维空间里。在这里，他能够通过引力控制女儿墨菲的房间。此时他突然意识到，曾经的“幽灵”，就是他自己。了解到自己收集到的数据的重要意义，他通过控制房间里的书和他留下的手表，留下了信息。最终，墨菲通过手表上的读数算出了公式，人类也因此得以拯救。
Though contains contents such as five-dimension, wormhole and gravitational wave, it generally tells a story about love, especially from the relationship between Cooper and his daughter. When were asked “Cooper, what if she never come back for it”, he just replied “She will, because I gave it to her”, which is the most touching plot from my point of view. A great father gambled the world on the love between his daughter and himself. He was right, when Mofei received the messages, she shouted aloud: “He came back, it was him, always the time! I didn’t know, it was him. Dad gonna save us.” After years of isolation and misunderstanding, they were finally linked through love and trust at this crucial time.
虽然整个影片充斥着类似五维空间，虫洞和引力波一类的科学词汇，但本质上却呈现了一个关于爱的故事，由库伯和墨菲的父女关系上便可见一斑。当库伯被问到“她如果不来拿那块表怎么办”，他却回答：“她会的，因为那是我留给她的。”一位伟大的父亲将全人类的命运都赌在了父女之爱上，但是他赌对了。虽然阔别多年，中间经历了太多的误解与隔阂，但在墨菲接到来自父亲的信息时，她大声地说道：“爸爸回来了，是他，一直是他！我从前不知道，爸爸回来救我们了。”
Just as the lines in this film, love is the one thing we’re not capable of perceiving that transcends dimensions of time and space. If it is extremely necessary, when the only way humans have ever figured out of getting somewhere is to leave something behind, this item should not be love.
就如同这部电影的台词所说，爱是我们能感知的，唯一一种能超越时空维度的东西。如果必要的时候，我们人类必须舍弃一些东西，以达到某种目的，我想这些东西不该是爱。
