“Metaverse” is a term which currently caught on, especially when CEO of facebook claimed that the company will transition from being a social media company to a metaverse one in the future. Neal Stephenson, an American science fiction writer first used the word in his novel Snow Crash published in 1992, meaning "a virtual world created by a computer."
“元宇宙”是目前流行的一个词，尤其是当 Facebook 首席执行官声称该公司未来将从一家社交媒体公司转型为一家元宇宙公司时。美国科幻作家尼尔·史蒂芬森在1992年写的小说《雪崩》里面第一次使用这个单词，含义是“由计算机创造出来的虚拟世界”

For one thing, the user experience must be further improve since the profits still depend on people’s willingness to shell out for it. For another, the system is volatile. Once a particular metaverse bombs, all the digital tokens crash to zero.
