As is known to all, the Single's Day of us falls on Nov. 11th, which comes out of campus culture and has become a shopping carnival for everybody in our country. When the festival is around the corner, we start to fill the online shopping carts with various items, waiting for ordering at 0:00 on that day. However, someone may have no idea that Americans also have the same experience, whose own shopping carnival is called Black Friday.
众所周知,十一月十一日是我国的光棍节,它脱胎于校园文化,如今已演变成一个全民共庆的购物狂欢节。每到十一月我们都会在电商的购物车里疯狂囤货,只待十一日零点来临时下单。但一些人或许不知道,美国人在十一月中也会跟我们一样经历剁手之痛,他们的购物节叫做黑色星期五。
Black Friday normally means the 4th Friday of each November. It's the first day after Thanksgiving, and also the first day of Christmas shopping. Many supermarkets in America provide special offers and give big discounts at that time, expecting to launch large-scale promotions at the end of the year. When it comes to the origin of Black Friday, there is a general perception that Americans usually record the losses in red and the profits in black, while merchants earn a big fortune on that day. So here it comes, "Black Friday".

黑色星期五一般指每年11月的第四个星期五,是美国感恩节之后的第一天,也即圣诞节大采购的第一天。在这天,美国商场都会推出大量的打折与优惠活动,以期在年底进行最后一次大规模促销。关于黑色星期五的起源,有这样一种说法:美国商场一般以红笔记录亏损,以黑笔记录盈利,而这一天人们的疯狂抢购使得商场利润大增,因此这天就被商家称作“黑色星期五”。
Actually, there is no difference in shopping psychology and behavior between our two peoples. Americans also try hard to purchase crazily, who cannot wait to go out for queuing up outside the store after dinner the night before, regardless of coldness and only wish to get the limited on-sale groceries as early as possible. Shopping becomes a real fighting at that point. Chances are that drivers can't even find a parking spot at the mall unless waiting for hours with any luck. And as the stores finally open, people crowd in fanatically, hoping to get inside first to buy those hard-to-get goods.
在购物心理行为上,我们两国人民其实并无太大不同。美国民众血拼下单的疯狂程度丝毫不亚于我们,他们甚至在吃完团圆饭后就迫不及待地出门,冒着十一月底的彻骨严寒在商家门口排队,只为在第二天凌晨第一时间入店抢到数量有限的折扣商品。在这个举国疯狂的购物狂欢日,血拼变成了一场真正的战斗。平时空荡的商场停车场,在黑五甚至要排队数小时才可能侥幸等到空车位。当店门打开的时候,乌泱泱的人群蜂拥而入,架子上的折扣货物被一抢而空。

Nowadays, as economic globalization develops in depth, Black Friday is no longer limited in North America but spreads to China. And many consumers cry that on November: "no more money for Black Friday after our Single's Day!"
而如今,经济全球化的浪潮翻涌,黑五也已不仅仅局限在北美。如此盛大的购物狂欢怎少的了我们中国的剁手族?一众海淘党也在十一月发出撕心裂肺的呐喊:“双十一之后没钱再过黑色星期五了!”
