Falling on December 25th every year, Christmas is a religious holiday, which is used to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Different from things of common sight such as Christmas trees and Christmas hats, what I’m going to introduce today are several books concerning Christmas.

1. The Physics of Christmas 《
Written by Roger Highfeld, this book was published in 2004. In this book, the writer mainly discussed some questions about Christmas, which is extremely diverting. From glittering Christmas trees to vulgar Christmas cards, from how to roast a turkey in the oven to Christmas shopping which drives people crazy, The Physics of Christmas is a compelling introducing tour as well as a research full of wisdom. Reading it not only brings us joy, but also boosts our knowledge.
2. The Kingdom of Santa Claus 《
This is a fairy tale picture book composed by Matsumoto Tatsuya and other Japanese writers in 2010. In the book, Santa Claus is not only an angel in children’s mind, but a clerk. Apart from making adequate preparations for work, he needs to prepare gifts and feed reindeers. The style of writing is fresh and natural, and the content is imaginative. Authors made an attempt to tell children that life and work are really not easy in plain language, with the aim of educating folks to take life and work seriously.
3. Dad Christmas 《
This book was written by Raymond Briggs and published in 2008. As one of the most outstanding works of Raymond, this book won the Kate Greenway Prize in 1973. It has vivid colors and flexible forms. Most importantly, this book puts forward a unique question: what if Santa Claus is just a normal old man? This book is interesting with a little disrespect, however, more with warmth and merriment, which makes readers feel a different kind of tenderness and joy.
As a traditional western festival, Christmas has survived the test of time, gradually gives out a more radiant light in the new era. After my introduction, I believe you will understand that Christmas is more than a festival, it is cohesion of cultures. Nowadays, when celebrating Christmas, we should feel the true meaning of Christmas and gain a spiritual baptism from it.

In the end, merry Christmas to all of you.
