I have asked myself this question many times. Why do I need to study in university?
我已经问自己这个问题很多次了。为什么我需要在大学学习?
If you asked me this question 4 years ago, I would answer “to learn more what I like” undoubtedly.
如果你四年前问我这个问题，我肯定会回答“去学更多我喜欢的东西”。
If you asked me this question 2 years ago, I would answer “to avoid meeting people and things I don’t like in the future” after I thought for a while.
如果你在两年前问我这个问题，我想了一段时间后会回答“避免未来遇到我不喜欢的人和事”。
If you asked me this question 1 year ago, I would answer “to learn my current major and get a job that’s not too bad”with a little hesitance.
如果一年前你问我这个问题，我会有点犹豫的回答“学习我现在的专业，然后找一份不错的工作”。
But if you ask me this question now, I really don’t know how to answer it. For a good job? Money? A dream?
但如果你现在问我这个问题，我真的不知道该怎么回答。找一份好工作？钱吗？一场梦吗？
I read a book two months ago, in which I read a sentence ”the university is the PIONEER of the whole human being ”. It gave me some confusion. Is this true for me? Could I use what I have learned to do some contribution to the world or the society?
两个月前，我读了一本书，里面有一句话是“大学是整个人类的先驱”。这让我有些困惑。这句话对我来说是真的吗？我可以用我所学到的来为世界或社会做一些贡献吗？
Sometimes these questions will confuse me for a very long time. So far, I still can’t deal with these questions. Instead, I would totally deny myself sometimes and eventually some terrible moods would occur to me. And every time I would ask myself a question: why do I go to university?
有时这些问题会困扰我很长一段时间。到目前为止，我还不能解决这些问题。相反，我有时会完全否定自己，最终一些可怕的情绪会出现在我身上。每次我都会问自己一个问题：我为什么要上大学？
I usually feel that I have learned nothing in university except understanding how excellent others are. And the classes I have learned made me feel even more nervous. We always recite what might be examined only during the exam week, which often makes me fear that whether we learned something professional or not. And every time I think of this, I will question if it is right to waste my time in university. But what else can I do if I don't go to college?
我经常觉得我在大学里除了知道了别人有多优秀以外什么都没学到。而我所学的课程让我感到更加紧张。我们总是在考试周才背诵可能要考的东西，这让我经常担心我们是否学到了专业的东西。每当我想到这一点，我就会质疑在大学里浪费时间是否正确。但是如果我不上大学，我还能做什么呢？
And I finally find out the reason why I feel confused about that question mentioned in the title of the article. I have no goals. So I don’t know why do I need to study in university.
我终于找到了我对文章标题中提到的那个问题感到困惑的原因。我没有目标，所以我不知道为什么我需要在大学学习。
