School of Information & Journalism and College of Physical Science & Technology's League work forum was held in Room 9557 of No.9 Teaching Building, on the afternoon of Nov 4th. Members of the two school's presidiums and ministers of the departments attended the meeting, which was presided over by Chen Ziwei, deputy secretary of the CYL in School of Information & Journalism and Lei Yuhan, the 2nd deputy secretary of the CYL in College of Physical Science & Technology.
After listening the introduction to the purpose of the activity and the basic information of the two school's CYL, all the ministers communicated in group about the collected questions found in the former research and some confusion existing in the work. Finally, representatives made a statement to summarize on behalf of each group.
After the heated discussion, the closing statement came eventually. When it came to the question about how to arouse young volunteers' enthusiasm, Huang Yuting, the under secretary of the Young Volunteers Association in School of Information & Journalism said, "we're thinking about using two different incentive system during volunteering: volunteering service time counting system and volunteering activists selection system. And our two schools can also cooperate with each other in order to combine projects with our schools' specialized characteristic."
Li Sisi, the minister of sport in School of Information & Journalism expressed, "we do learn a lot during the communication with sport department in College of Physical Science & Technology. For example, recruit volunteers for sports meeting, make a list of participants ahead of schedule at the convenience of organization, and evaluate our teams at regular intervals for the proper allocation of funds so as to improve working efficiency and the enthusiasm of members." And Liu Hongcen, the minister of sport in College of Physical Science & Technology added her gains, such as publicity writing skills, more way to make posters, how to popularize knowledge before the interview and so on.
Then ministers put forward some suggestions that enhance exchanges with other schools, promote the cooperation and increase publicity. They emphasized that the handover should be done, working efficiency should be improved, and more relaxing ways of communication should be taken to strengthen the sense of belonging of members.
Chen Ziwei raised that student leaders should ponder problems out of their responsibilities and have an open mind while studying. At last, Lei Yuhan made a conclusion of this meeting, expressed that two schools wanted to know each other for their difference and finally made communication, and expected that students leaders of the CYL would apply the gains during this meeting to practical work in the future.
