On November 18th ,in the afternoon,Youth League branches 1712 and 1808 from School of Physical Science and Technology hosted a League activity together whose theme was “calm yourselves, get deeply into pretty books and make a concentrated think of current politics” in classroom 9515.This activity which consists of five parts,was hosted by two League branch secretaries Li Ziyang ,Wang Ruotong from Class 1712 and Class 1808.
After a brief introduction of the outline ,Li Ziyang led students to start first part called“In the name of youth,I advocate something”.And then,all the students stood up and read a proposal named “have responsibility in heart and study hard”.The eight proposals were read firmly,which were overflowed with students’ determination in School of Physical Science and Technology through their serious faces.
After that,representatives from two Youth League branches recommended books in turns,finishing the part called “I’m willing to share what I can share and offer happiness to you.”Lei Yuhan from Class 1712 shared Reflection Of The Soul written by Qing Shan with students.In her opinion,this book was adored and praised by these people who already realized it while other people who didn’t understand it completely viewed it as a pair of useless and worn-out shoes and would throw it. “There is a sense of peace in heart while reading this book.”She said.Jiang Shumin from Class 1808 also put forward her own thought, “how many do hided wonderful loves fleet with the wind ,for the sake of shyness and misunderstanding ?”
During a part named “Though there are hundreds of difficulties along the road of study,there are elder sisters and brothers giving us hundreds of hands”,sophomore students,Yang Zhipeng,Liu Yuanrong,Tan Weijun and Wangzhen Shuyan,from Youth League branch 1712,shared their experiences about study and life.Yang Zhipeng warned freshmen seriously ,”don’t look down upon every subjects including small subjects,because even if you failed such a small subject like P.E class,you will be out in the competition of selecting excellence.”Liu Yuanrong concluded several experiences according to her study experience:chose your seat near the platform as soon as possible during class,do after-class practice earnestly，make the most use of our fragmented time ,search for motivation for our study and so on.
After that,students watched the video about the bus dropping into river in Chongqing and made a discussion where the topic was “Make a concentrated think,considerate situations seriously and then perform comments deeply”.They thought about the whole case objectively and positively,making an active atmosphere.There were unstopped applause and sounds of approval.He Jiantao ,from Class 1808,thought that the bus driver had wrong behaviors because as a driver,he ignored securities of all passengers and as a gentleman,he wasn’t polite and tolerant enough.Li Ziyang raised his own opinion,”If there were someone preventing that woman passenger,maybe it wouldn’t be severe like that.”
At last,students wrote down their blessings on postcards and then exchanged them,recording their best memories.Wang Ruotong commented this activity, “it was held splendidly and we all learned a lot,so we hope there are still some chances to perform League activities with Class 1712 in the future.”
