The 2019 Joint Conference Of Student Affair System was convoked in the Student Centre 403 on March 19th .Zhao Lingyun, the president and the deputy secretary of CPC,and Qin Hong attended the conference. The heads from Undergraduate School, the Admissions and employment services Office, Security Office and other functional departments, the secretaries of CPC in some faculties and all the part-time and full-time tutors participated in the conference. Qin Hong, the deputy secretary of CPC in CCNU, hosted the joint conference.
The related principal in Student Affair Department made an arrangement and an introduction for the issues and working points in 2019 firstly. The minster from Student Affair Department in CPC named Han Junhua made a deployment for the student working in 2019 around six aspects including the ideological setters from students, students’ educational and management service, the practice in education, the practice in physical education and work experience, the construction of administrative cadres and national defense education. Yang Jun, the minister in Graduate Student Affair Office of CPC, made the deployment for the graduates’ education and management from six aspects including ideological education, the Party organization building, academic innovation, creating characteristic brand, common management and team building, combining the construction of ‘Double Top’ in CCNU. Xu Gang, the secretary of the CPC in CCNU, also made an arrangement in six sections including the ideological setters from students, the building in basic organization of League, culture and education, the high-level talent cultivation, the construction of characteristic voluntary activity brand and the revolution of student organizations,as well as three plans, covering the plan of the improvement of the vitality in basic organization of League, the plan of promoting the ability and quality of League cadres and the plan of the first-class talent cultivating and docking. Zeng Xianmei, the deputy director of the Admissions and employment services Office, made the deployment from the building and completing the ‘linkage mechanism’ of admission and employment to shaping the CCNU specialty facing the New College Entrance Examination reformation in Hubei Province. Wang Dongshuang, the director in Security Department, made the deployment about the campus safety and stability, emphasizing the implementation of personal, object and technical protection, the cooperation between school and enterprise, the combination between the faculty and the college, the positive coordination in functional departments, the effective participation of teachers and students and the campus institution about the early warning and processing system in the emergency.
Zhao Lingyun, the president, delivered an important speech on the conference. He stressed that the students in CCNU were about to forming a team, which was ready to sacrifice everything, dynamic and combat-worthy and concentrated on the solid work. At the same time, he spoke highly of the students’ work in last year with maintaining the good order, reaching some achievements and getting some contributions. Combining with the new situation, new requirements and new transformation in students’ work, he presented a new idea named ‘The Four Student Affair’, which was composed of being extraordinary, systematic, innovative and professional.
To make it extraordinary firstly means to stimulate the students’ work development reaching to a high level.The students’ work is the foundation of nurturing virtue and being a eligible person. ‘When the foundation is not solid enough, there will be a collapse’ , when there is no high-quality students’ work, there is no construction in high-quality university. Focusing on the students’ work is the tradition in CCNU, manifesting the feature of teaching and building the unique management brand of CCNU could not live without the extraordinary students’ work. Faced with the new situation in regarding the academy more strictly, the new change in the student group and the new challenges from requiring the campus’ security and stability, the extraordinary students’ work is the starting point. The students’ work in the new time should not be shrunk, however it needs to be strengthened. The entire system of students’ work is bound to form the position consciousness, the battle line consciousness, the obligation consciousness and the first-class consciousness.
To make it systematic secondly means to promote the integrated power of students’ work. The students’ work is a kind of system and has the comprehensiveness, the intangible value, the systematic position and the openness These features decide that the students’ work in the new era should conquer the plight with ‘fragmentization’ and ‘departmentalization’. At first, it not only requests every department to discharge its own duties, but also requires them to cooperate perfectly. Each department should keep its own obligation and strengthen the coordination under the arrangement from Student Affair Office. Secondly, it needs to be professional and full-participated, build the team with professional participants and the team with other participants including the support crew. Thirdly, it needs to be both recessive and dominant students’ work. Every staff should be dedicated in carrying out the genuine students’ work, and at the same time, it needs to motivate the faculty to do the recessive students’ work in order to make the ‘ education in management, service and scientific research’ possible. At last, the students’ work needs to stimulate not only the students’ intelligence but also the virtue in their hearts. It requires to lead the students to be occupied in studying and exploring, resist the ‘nerveless’ mood after entering the college, reject the temptations of the internet and artificial intelligence and be an integrated development student, as well as to lead the students set up the correct view of life, view of value and the view of world to establish the right aim of life, direction of life and the value of life.
To make it innovative means to enhance the approaches of students’ work. It needs to have new ideas to motivate the students, have new means to improve the way of education, management and work and make full use of the internet and the diverse artificial intelligence platforms, have new platforms to create the related ones and the platforms for activity and communication acclimating to the feature in new era and to have the new institution around the students’ work, the virtue cultivating and parents participation.
To make it professional at last means to promote the students’ capability in the students’ work. It needs to stress the politic position to the students, insist on the radical aim and assignment about cultivating the virtue and the eligible person and make it to be the radical test criterion. In order to enhance the business literacy of the battle line in student affair, it needs to stick to the idea of baseline, the love spirituality, the risk awareness and the force of example. It also needs to ensure the support of the students’ work, including the surrounding, equipment, platform, activity and expenditure.
The president Zhao announced the specific requirements to the students’ work.Doing the students’ work was glorious and the obligation on their shoulders must be inevitable. He emphasized that the Senior Year was approaching, the tutors and the teachers in charge should make conversations to the students about the school work, the employment, the love relationship,as well as the situation of breaking up in the future and the contact to the society. In the end, he said that the Party committee and the administrative department should care for all the participants of the students’ work authentically and take action sincerely, including the concern in policy, the assistance in daily life and the instruction in work, then they will feel the sense of belonging , satisfaction and achievement.
At last, Qin Hong, the deputy secretary of CPC in CCNU, delivered the summary speech. He pointed out that the new requirement of the coordination among the Student Affair Office system from the president Zhao and the idea of ‘Four Aspects In Student Affair’ from the new era should be remembered in all the directors’ and tutors’ hearts. And they should put the paying attention to their own work, learning the new theory, the ‘Six Requirements’, the ‘Eight Unification’, paying attention to Party building and the League building, improving the construction of organization and the quality of working, focusing on the safety and stability in the students’ work, caring about the mental health of the students, the development of schoolwork and the team building in the Student Affair Office into practice.
