In order to study and implement the spirit of the sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and understand the successful password of the centennial struggle of the Communist Party of China, on the afternoon of November 26th, the 2018 Undergraduate Party Branch of the College of History successfully carried out the Party Day activity themed "Studying, Thinking and Practice, Being Concentric to the Party" in classroom 1213 in November. The event was hosted by the 2018 Undergraduate Party Branch of The College of History, and broadcast live in the form of Tencent conference. Chen Minghui, a member of the Youth Propaganda Group of Hubei Province and associate professor of Marxism College of Huazhong Agricultural University, was invited as the speaker. All party members and probationary party members participated in the event.
This activity is one of the series of activities themed “One Department, One Brand”held by 2018 Undergraduate Party Branch, aiming to further promote the party history study education, feeling the glorious tradition of the communist party of China, adhering to the spirit of the pursuit of the communist party, strengthening party spirit training, and developing branch members' social sense of responsibility, innovation spirit and practice ability, thus exhibiting the pioneering model effects of party members.
In the activity, Mr. Chen Minghui focused on three aspects, including the summary of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, the summary of the Resolution of the CPC Central Committee on the Major Achievements and Historical Experience of the Party's Centennial Struggle, Ten Adherence : Successful Passwords of CPC Central Committee’s centennial struggle. Based on the development course of party’s centennial history, Pro.Chen systematically introduced the main points and spiritual connotations of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee.

Referring to "adhere to the principle of the supremacy of the people", Pro.Chen combined with the historical discipline characteristic, and used many historic stories and figures such as the woman wire bridge during Meng Lianggu battle, the victory of Huai hai war which was powerfully supported by the people, “Ma Maojie”, who was awarded by July 1st Medal and also a heroine in the Crossing-the-Yangtzi-River Campaign. It explained the close relationship between the CPC and the people like “blood” ties. He then suggested that all party members and probationary members should have the courage to carry out self-revolution, bring out the old and introduce the new, constantly overcome shortcomings and make up for defects, and keep up with the development of the Times as well as meeting the demands of the people with excellent skills.

This party day activity is rich in content and profound in connotation. After the meeting, probationary party member from the 2018 Undergraduate Party Branch Wang Yifeng said: "Learning the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19 is the transmission of the historical significance and precious experience of our party’s centennial struggle. And as a new generation of successors, we must take history as a mirror, create the future, work hard and go ahead without fear.Therefore, we can create a new glory in the new journey of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
