At 14:00 on December 3, the 2018 grade undergraduates of the School of Chemistry education internship summary meeting was held in the 823-lecture hall of the Science Building and on the Tencent conference, offline and online simultaneously. The purpose of this activity was to summarize the two and a half months of internship life, and at the same time guide normal students to further plan the future development direction. The guests attending the meeting included Yuan Hong, the deputy dean of the School of Chemistry, Tao Yong, the principal of Wuhan Eleventh Middle School and representative of the internship base, and Li Peng, the party committee member and teaching supervisor of Urumqi Bayi Middle School, the representative of the internship base outside the province, and all the instructors. The summary meeting was hosted by Wang Shicun, the chief principal for internship of the college. All the undergraduates of the 2018 chemistry normal students participated in the offline meeting, and all the 2019 chemistry normal students participated on the Tencent meeting.
First of all, Deputy Dean Yuan Hong commented on the performance of the interns through the live broadcast of the Tencent conference, and fully affirmed the internship work of the students. Professor Yuan Hong pointed out that , the past two and a half months had been for students to combine the theory and practice of education, and the internship life is a valuable asset for the future development of students,.He emphasized that educational internship was for the personal growth of normal students as well as the importance of future careers. Finally, He reminded everyone that as a senior student, while paying attention to hunting a job, he or she must complete his own courses in time, and be fully prepared for subsequent graduation, and in the end expressed his best wishes and earnest hope for the future development of these students.
Afterwards, the representatives of the educational practice school - Tao Yong, the president of Wuhan No.11 Middle School and Director Li Peng, member of the Party Committee and teaching supervisor of Urumqi Bayi Middle School, gave speeches on the internship in turn. President Tao Yong mentioned that the interns of the School of Chemistry had left a deep impression on the instructors and school leaders with their solid basic teaching skills, responsibility for students, and enthusiasm for education during their internship. They also expressed a warm welcome to the education internship work of the School of Chemistry students in the middle school. Director Li Peng fully appreciated the internship work of the interns of Central China Normal University, and put forward to all normal students the good expectation of "being virtuous, honest and diligent in study". He also hoped that Central China Normal universities could till the soil of middle school education, and jointly cultivate more outstanding talents for the education for the motherland.
Next, representatives of 16 internship groups from the School of Chemistry who practiced in Changjun Xiangfu Middle School in Changsha, Wuhan No. 6 Middle School, and Wuhan University Affiliated Middle School reported on their internship lives. Liu Xingtong, the leader of the internship group of Wuhan No.19 Middle School, shared with you specific suggestions on how to respond to related processes when facing emergencies in the classroom. Wan Duowei, the representative of the internship group of Nanchang No. 3 Middle School, started his share from his own internship experience and introduced the chemical experimental exploration activities carried out by himself and the instructor, expressing the hope that normal students should have the spirit of practice and exploration in the future teaching work, and carry out education and teaching on the basis of understanding of academic conditions, and at the same time improve their personal qualities and abilities.
Zhang Leyan, the representative of the internship team of Taiyuan Foreign Language School, used a PPT to demonstrate the internship characteristics of the team—orderly development of subject teaching, unity and cooperation in daily work, in-depth participation in educational research development using multiple methods such as questionnaires and interviews. He Xiangyuan, the leader of the internship team of Wuhan No.6 Middle School, said that during the internship period, the instructors of the department and the internship school gave a lot of encouragement and help and thanked them. He also emphasized that after the internship he deeply realized that besides basic teaching, teachers also had teaching, research and many other things need to develop.
After finishing the representatives of the 16 internship groups, Wang Shicun made a brief summary of the internship work, encouraged normal students to strengthen their ideals and beliefs, and put forward ardent expectations for the future development of the normal students. Afterwards, the judges and guests conducted on-site performances of each group. After comprehensive scoring, 10 excellent internship groups, 26 excellent interns, and 4 excellent instructors was selected.
At the end of the meeting, Wang Shicun made further plans and explanations for the subsequent submission of internship materials and the development of educational research. So far, the 2018 education practice summary meeting of the School of Chemistry had successfully drawn an end.
