CCNU Convened 2022 Employment Promotion Meeting in Order to Strongly Boost Quality and Sufficient Jobs for the Graduates

Online News of CCNU (correspondent Zhou Jian) On January 7, 2022 CCNU Employment Promotion Meeting was held in science hall. The secretary of the school party committee, Zhao Lingyun as well as the principal, Hao Fanghua attended the meeting. The heads of school’s relevant functional departments, the secretaries and deans (seniors) of each training unit, the heads of career work, the instructors of graduates were present at the meeting. What was more, the instructors and headteachers of non-graduates watched the live meeting online. The vice-secretary of the school party committee, Chen Diming, hosted the meeting.


At the beginning, the principles of School of Marxism, School of Mathematics and Statistics, Language Institute, School of Foreign Languages and some other units introduced experience and skills of employment.


Then, Hao Fanghua made a summary of employment work of the class of 2021 graduates and made overall plans for the graduates in the next session. She pointed out that in 2021, when the employment situation was very serious, the school employment department and all training units dared to face the difficulty, worked hard to break the employment difficulties and finally achieved overall stability of employment situation. Moreover, they also carried out solid and effective work in expanding the job market, enhancing the contact among employments, arousing employment vitality and so on. In her opinion, in 2022, the employment work would face new challenges, the scale of graduates hit a record high which caused that the job supplies provided by employers could hardly meet the needs of job requirements of the graduates. In addition, the employment ideas of the graduates were various, which needed specific education, guidance and assist. Besides, the epidemic made the employment forms show new characteristics, so the schools were asked to take various measures to support employment.


Hao Fanghua required that the whole school should make full efforts to do the 2022 employment work well with emotion and warmth, fulfill job responsibilities practically and put the top leadership project of employment into effect. Also, the principles were required to explore resources, insist on combining bringing in and going out together and expand the job market actively. Meanwhile, she mentioned that the work should be categorized in layers and principles needed to increase support in the guidance of employment ideas, the persuasion of employment psychology, the tutorship of employment skills, the supply of employment positions and the allowance of employment hardship. Furthermore, the heads should help graduates constantly, provide accurate services meticulously while the graduates applied for a job and do the follow-up work after the students graduated well. Ultimately, the heads had to strengthen cooperation, enhance the synergy between the employment guidance of functional department and the cultivation process of colleges, rally support and cooperation from superior departments, employers, social institutions and so on, build up employment linkage mechanism to promote the graduates to find high quality and sufficient jobs.


Zhao Lingyun emphasized that the employment work was one of the school’s extremely important works, so he made three specific demands on doing employment work well: first, solve the cognitive problems, which meant we should be aware of the importance of employment work from political aspects, employment was fundamental to people’s livelihood; know about employment work from career development, the employment of students was connected with the school’s career, the college’s development and the major’s fate; understand employment work through cultural spirit, the employment guidance and help were reflections of the love of CCNU which indicated during talent cultivation and employment practice. Second, solve the promotion problem, integrate professional work into the whole progress of student enrolling and talent cultivation, implement oriented study for students from professional and occupational consciousness, educational pursuits, employment orientation and some other dimensions to promote students’ core competitiveness. Third, solve the responsibility problem, be responsible and try everything to explore employment channels, solidify traditional channels, link up with alumni, enterprises and employers, take targeted employment measures for employees in all aspects.
