On December 24, the first legal culture festival and commendation congress of CCNU was held with flying colors in the Science Hall. Accompanied by the solemn national anthem, the closing ceremony officially began. Ding Wen made a report on the theme of "Into the Chinese Civil Code with Distinctive Characteristics". He introduced the difficulties in formulating the "Civil Code" with easy-understanding and passionate language as well as the difficulties encountered when exploring, the meaning and principles, the characteristics and innovations, the system and structure of the Civil Code, which give everyone a comprehensive understanding of the Civil Code. He emphasized that the Civil Code was an encyclopedia of social life and it was a code with Chinese practical characteristics and characteristics of the times. By improving rights protection and saving rules, the Civil Code can protect the rights and interests of the people in a better way.
Wan Cong made a report focusing on confirming belief in laws, improving legal literacy, and cultivating new generations. During this festival, a law propaganda group had been set up. In the award-winning commendation session, Ma Ni read out the list of final winners of the 28th "Spring and Autumn on the Tongue" debate competition and presented award certificates to the winner representatives. Li Diao read out the list of winners of the "Guardian of the Constitution" collection of works. Yang Chen, Ding Wen, Luo Gaofeng, Li Diao, Cheng Xiuli, Kang Wei, Shao Lili, and Rao Yanping awarded certificates to the first, second, and third prize winners respectively. The theme of the finals of the 28th "Spring and Autumn on the Tongue" debate competition is that finding fault style rights protection" should/should not be protected by law. The debate team of the School of Marxism and the debate team of the School of Journalism and Communication won the champion and runner-up respectively. Chen Wenqiang, a student of the School of Marxism Won the final "Best Debater". In the speech session of the student representatives, Peng Xiangbin, a 2020 undergraduate student of the Law School, gave a speech on the topic of "Constitution" and "Law" going hand in hand and shared the experiences of organizing and participating in the cultural festival of the rule of law. She believed that the development of various activities of the Cultural Festival had allowed us to further understand and study the constitution, and let us realize that the life and the authority of the constitution lay in its implementation. Chen Yandong, an undergraduate student of the Department of Artificial Intelligence, sang the musical work "Walking with the Law", which was adapted and created by him and his classmates, and showed the understanding and support of CCNU students to the Constitution in a special way, which won the applause of the audience. The work was also highly praised by the judges, and won the first prize in the "Constitution Defender" collection of works competition.
