On January 17, 2022, the fourth faculty representatives’ meeting was held in the lecturing hall on the fourth floor in the No.6 building. The meeting was hosted by Tian Jun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the school of mathematics and statistics. Li Shugang reported the preparation for this meeting.
Zhou Yuanyang, dean of the school of mathematics and statistics, made the report titled highlight our characteristics, head for the first prize, and propel the spur to our school's high-quality 14th five-year plan development. This report respectively clarified four directions to improve—what we were fighting for, basic aims, main measures, and security measures. We tended to continually propel teaching mode transformation and achieve the goals of cultivating intellectuals. We also have some scientific research of deep and breakthrough explorations. With intensifying our Party-building education, we have gained great progress in ideological and political education, as well as assorted aspects in this year 2021. At the same time, the report pointed out that in 2022, our school would put efforts into fostering progress in five aspects—intensifying Party-building effects, focusing on building first-row discipline, improving scientific research capacity, supervising the cultivation of high-quality intellectuals, and updating management service.
Zhang Zaiwu, office manager, on behalf of our school, gave the annual financial report to illustrate our budget and distributions in detail.
Liu Chenzhu summarized the meeting. He stated that the school had carried out Party history education and fulfilled the basic and significant task of cultivating intellectuals. Optimistic momentum had shown up in all progress with totally new plans to thrive. On behalf of the Party Committee of our school, he extended warm thanks to all faculty and was grateful for all the efforts they paid off. Faced with incoming new challenges encountered in the future, he came up with three concrete requirements. In the end, he emphasized the main tasks and arrangements for preventing COVID-19 from spreading out.
This meeting embodied our spirits of solidarity, practice, and craving for a better future. All faculty will be bound to develop our school along with the 14th five-year plan to unite our strength, progress with our unwavering momentum, and write down the high-quality development chapter in the next year.
