On the morning of January 25, the promotion meeting of the 100th anniversary celebration of the College of Education of CCNU was held in Conference Room 909. Party Secretary of the College of Education Li Ling, President Lei Wanpeng, Professors Tu Yanguo, Du Shizhong, Zhou Dongming and Ouyang Guanghua attended, and all members of the College team and some heads of departments attended. The meeting was chaired by Lei Wanpeng.
President Lei Wanpeng first introduced the history of the College, the predecessor of the College of Education of CCNU can be traced back to the Department of Philosophy of Education founded by Central China University in 1922. This year, the College of Education will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the department, and the College intends to hold the centennial celebration of the founding of the department and establish the Alumni Association of the College of Education of CCNU in October 2022. He stressed that the establishment of the alumni association has entered the countdown stage, and hoped that everyone actively participate and plan together to run a grand and warm, simple and pragmatic, orderly and efficient, mutually beneficial event.
Deputy Secretary Huang Yuxin reported the foundation of alumni work of the college, the preparations in the early stage and the work planning in the later stage. She solicited opinions and suggestions from the participants on the preparation plan for the establishment of the alumni association, the candidates for outstanding alumni , and the participation management of the local alumni group.
The representatives of teachers and heads of departments in attendance spoke up actively, suggesting ideas for comprehensively sorting out alumni data, seizing the focus of alumni work, and reflecting the heritage of the 100-year signature. At present, the college has established 47 local alumni wechat groups in 31 provinces (regions and cities), Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and overseas, etc. The teachers said they would actively participate in the local alumni groups, help create a good atmosphere in the groups, convey the college's care for alumni, and work together to build a good communication bridge between the college and alumni.
Finally, Secretary Li Ling summarized the promotion meeting and expressed her gratitude to all the teachers who braved the severe cold to participate in this meeting and offered many opinions and suggestions. She hoped that the teachers would be more involved in alumni work and make concerted efforts to hold the 100th anniversary celebration of the College of Education and the inaugural meeting of the Alumni Association.
